Oh why did I not see that before, it has a 3A 9v supply, so it can power a Helix too. That sounds like a good thing and it connects with a real power supply.

I was in my beginning of the my teens, it was significant (in the UK - although measurably not had that much impact worldwide), but after that it was a label given to any band with harsh sounding guitars in the late 70s. And of all those bands, only a small minority wanted anything other than to make music and get famous / rich / pull.

I have a variety. Most of them are Couch vegan straps, as they tend to be bought for me by my (vegan) wife, they tend to match the bass that I have them on. I also have one of the really wide couch straps on the 5005 as it is so heavy. One is a denali strap, which I got as it was the only thing I could get to match my shuker I have a couple of leather straps, but they tend to be on things I don't really care that much about, as they don't match (they are brown or black and I have fewer of those now) I have a Comfort strapp somewhere, comfortable but ugly and I never really got on with it Oh I also have a really wide maruszczyk strap, which came with my maruszczyk, which is a bit pointless as that chambered swamp ash!

They do come in a much nicer box though

Indeed, cable loss is not an issue where wireless systems are employed. So if that is your only reason for active (and is primarily mine) then it is not an argument.

Yes, I think that is a backward step by Schaller - the changes they made to the lock was good, but why do they need to change the other end that wasn't an issue, especially as now that increases the likelyhood that it would unscrew itself. I have some of the new Schaller S's on a couple of basses, but they all use the original Shaller posts with the original screw.

I would have a minitaur if they hadn't put an arbitrary limit on the top end that it could play. Seems a bit of an odd thing to do.

The reason that the Minitaur is twice the price of the model D is that one is made by Moog and one is made by Behringer.

I guess at this point it probably wasn't Maruszczyk who put this bridge on after all unless it was a change in production. Either way, it seems to have come off without much damage

Mine was a custom Elwood, sort of a L24 with a few differences, ie, lightweight, 24 fret, neck like an ibanez, 3 / 2 machine heads.

Mine is a Maruszczyk as well, with the same (if black and 5 string) bridge, and the same zero fret so seems unlikely.

There isn't too much in it - mine is about 1/8" further back than yours

I can't see how you would be able to correct that without moving or replacing the bridge. Seems it was put too far forward.

I put mine in high gain on the last practice so it was really dirty and feeding back - when it did the guitarist kept going to his amp to check what was going on!

Any high pass filter you can practically make as near as dammit infinite attenuation at DC. Although if you are talking of thuds when your sound card wakes, they clearly aren't DC, or you wouldn't hear them!
