  1. You commented on the 'Deffo not a scam website' - which is the website I commented on which is selling everything for £42, I don't know what site you are reffering to
  2. That is bbcode, followed by you putting bbcode in img tags, that is for much older forums - delete all the stuff I have highlighted in orange, the forum will notice what you have written and put it as an image
  3. Really? If you believe they will really send you one of those basses for £42 I have a bridge I could sell to you
  4. I gig with the gnome 10/8, its a great thing, but it isn't enough on its own. I also go through the PA so the speaker is just there to provide an onstage sound to those of the band that don't have in ears.
  5. First gig for this year (ignoring new years gig going into this year) - light on bookings so far. Playing at a local village pub, not known for music. Found out we needed to move it an hour earlier as they have a noise curfew because of local houses, so 8-11, ok with that, nice to get back earlier, especially as it is 5 mins down the road anyway. We played there once before for a haloween do, in a skittle alley, bad acoustics but good gig, so parked expecting that, but they have a new food area on the side, of the bar (which itself is next to the other bar) so we were there, quite small. easy loadin and setup, not many people, thought this was going to be a paid practice, but we still approach it the same way, these people are paying us. Less volume needed so sound was manageable and pretty good, took my Ric and my old ibanez #1 which had just had new strings. considering no gigs or practices this month first half went really well. The crowd were small, non mobile but appreciative. Had a break, some people left others came in. The second half is less blues, more party so tends to go better, and sure enough, they seemed more up for it the second half. Then we hit 'does your mother know' and loads of women from.. who knows where.. came in dancing, and from there on in it was pretty dancey. towards the end when we had some rock stuff, highway to hell and our ending songs, a load of blokes came in from.. yet another bar I guess, so we ended with Whole lotta love, which always goes down a storm (even though I have no idea why people try to dance to it) - in the end there were quite a load of people dancing in what was quite a small room, so it felt really full. It was a great way to end a quiet month. There was a video someone shared for a change - it was the verse of all right now, and me looking around and checking my pedals!
  6. That looks like one of those 80s gibsons when they were just kicking loads of ideas out
  7. I never pulled the string off the bongo, but not sure why you would do that anyway, its not close enough to the edge unless you were playing with quite a lot of sideways force -I guess intentionally bending the string out, and as I played guitar before I know you bend the string up when bending on that side
  8. No I would imagine someone put another pickup on it, routed out the front to get between the pickups and to the controls, then someone else got it, took it out and put that over. You certainly wouldn't buy that without saying 'hey can I have a pictue with the pickguard off?'
  9. Shouldn't be, as far as I know - maybe just a temporary thing yesterday?
  10. A passing interpretation of Anthem by Rush.
  11. They really want £42 is what
  12. Looks fine to me, would rather be seen with that then a fender. But I wouldn't pay that money for it!
  13. Some people, don't know they are born. We have enough trouble trying to get them to turn the normal lights off, a couple of places we have to unscrew the bulbs!
  14. I didn't notice it or know of any reason that it should, but obviously can't see how it looks on your machine! It is still listing the font as 'inter' which I remember it was using before.
  15. note that also we are reindexing search so some things you are searching for might not pop up straight away, but they will be back when it has done, but there is quite a bit of data to index, and it happens in the background for a while. And hopefully you should notice better performance, and I should be able to get back to shooting zombies for a bit
  16. ooh - they look nice, wonder if they are going to have stupid spacing ok, the specs don't say!
  17. Wow, that is never going to be falling out!
  18. Not ideal but hopefully just a transient thing, as I was online at that point and didn't notice it
  19. I did squonk once with no group practice as a one off. It would have gone better if I had sung it.
  20. We get a bit more than that but there are fewer venues these days. Although I don't think we have ever done less than 2 hours, unless it was a slot at a multiband venue.
  21. If you made a coffee table out of wenge you wouldn't be able to lift it!
  22. I am sure they had it cheaper in november.
  23. and vice versa, so it worked out as a good trade! Although it has to be said I miss the weight some times
  24. If they come in at reasonable money, and by that I mean not much more than the dollar amount they should do really well. I wouldn't want to part with my bongo, but I am sure I could find space for a purple one too. Not so much worried about the EQ - the only reason I ever touch mine is because it has adjusted itself by being in a gig bag again!
