Absolutely it does, because if you leave a reason for a thing to happen open it will open again. The fact is that the american healthcare system hasn't been reprimanded for this in any serious way means it doesn't matter if you can stop this drug overnight, there will be another one tomorrow. If that is what he achieves as a result of what he is doing then it would obviously be good, and maybe a rare high spot.

Americas drug problem was a prescription drug problem, it wasn't being provided by mexican cartels when it started, it was being provided by their doctors with kick backs from their drug companies. Whether it is now, maybe, but that is not what got it going

Or they will bring Fenranyl production back to the US, So I guess more local jobs.

What will a tariff war do to instrument prices ?

Well after a while that will just because the price of US products, so maybe it will settle then. I mean the recent price of a lot of american instruments is pretty crazy, so if that goes up by 25%, obviously noone would get them at the time, but after a while are people not going to say 'oh that is the going price of an american P' or something? -
Unless you can quickly ramp up that manufacturing, no. If you could make iPhones in the US for the same price as you could in china, you wouldn't be making them in China. You can apply a 100% tarrif on them, they would still be cheaper there, but noone would be buying because they would be too expensive (more than they already are).

For me, largely irrelevant, in that there are no US guitars that I would particully be in the market for, and if I was, they wouldn't be new ones, although I realise the new price also affects the second hand market. I think from a stringed instrument point of view I would pretty safe there, although there are other musical instrument things that would be a problem. Either way, I can't see it as that major an issue compared to many other day to day issues. I think is however a clear indication that we should be putting more effort into our fractured trade relationship with europe.

Yes, very easily, then you have two chains, can process both sides separately, and then join the back together (assuming you want a single output)

I am guessing that within the US, they will stop selling the mexican and chinese squiers, and instead sell the indonesian built ones, its quite easy to get round a blunt tool like a tariff if you have a large manufacturing base, although I assume that will make the prices in the US go up either way. In canada I am guessing the prices of all american instruments are going to fall drastically, so maybe dingwall can start concentrating on super Ps and Super Js! Maybe the price of mex squiers will go down a bit around the rest of the world as the americans won't be buying them? Hard to tell. It really is going to affect fender quite heavily as the two factories are only a few hours from each other. I guess it depends on what he does with tarrifs in other places that will affect us here. -
I did the updates that were recommended yesterday, but don't know if that has updated anything yet, its too early and I have no way of knowing if those people wjho don't get email still don't get email, I have no been able to establish a pattern about those who don't get it as I get all updates on any email address I have tried and haven't since marking my first email from here as not spam, so not sure how to proceed

Well, combined effects really, when I was young drugs made my playing absolutely fantastic, I mean it sounded brilliant, it was so good. Sadly it also made all local tape recorders malfunction so listening back to recordings made at the time made me sound like I was playing really badly! I mean, I know I wasn't, it sounded great to me, so I don't know what was going on there.

We are down quitea few bookings this year, although a large amount of that is the singer being signed off for quite a few weekends due to a new child. I think it might be time to find something else to be doing as well

Aria Telecaster Bass wiring help please?
Woodinblack replied to NickS's topic in Repairs and Technical
If the tone is acting like a volume it means that the capacitor is shorted, to big a value or the wiring around the capacitor is shorted. Buzz out the tone pot between the centre and earth and check that the level doesn't change when you alter the tone pot -

A quick google shows me https://bassbootcamp.com/bass-bootcamp-expo/ Probably better doing a search before ranting that there aren't any There seem to be quite a lot of bass only events in the US and even more guitar events that have a bass event tacked on. You seem to be quite well served for them.
