  1. I have an Opal router too, works well and I got mine much cheaper from a non amazon site (there isn't another option for me). Handy that it can run of USB, and frankly, so little power that you can connect it to anything that has a bus powered USB, such as the XTouch.
  2. No, because what I said at the time was factual. I haven't had any additional involvement in the cookie stuff and I don't really have any dealings with Ezoics, or trust them. But it clearly doesn't work like this. But maybe it is in some way my fault for not having any actual involvement with the cookies being in as I stay out of finances and stuff. I am just here to fix stuff that goes wrong with the actual server.
  3. Clearly not - where do you think you are, somerset?.. oh hang on..
  4. Can you edit the title to put sold in it then please
  5. If you mean the install basschat - that is the thing that Ped did about 6 months ago so that you could put basschat on a desktop icon - it has nothing to do with this current stuff.
  6. Firefox has a facebook container option, which opens facebook in its own sandbox so it can't get to anything else.
  7. Several friends who are music friends, and I talk about music to my wife as well. Never had a first date so not sure about that!
  8. In general a parasite is just consuming their basic needs for living. A tapeworm isn't doing much investing, it is just growning. They just happen to be taking that resource from something else
  9. That is true though for me. I do (happily) play covers, and I play in the sort of establishments that I wouldn't normally frequent (pubs) filled with people I would want to avoid (drunk people). So yes, for me it is true and I enjoy it.
  10. You know I have never had that in hundreds of gigs over many years.
  11. Yeh done a few of those. I always wondered, surely the staff know that is how it works, why are they spending their own money on getting a group that people don't want to see, is it that much cheaper than the license to screen TV?.
  12. As he plays covers, I am sure he has considered it
  13. He didn't have to as Spirit already had
  14. My stuff always fits, so it will go in just fine! Cant even remember what I am bringing, but I am sure I will remember before the day. Have a couple of basses I can put up for sale - too expensive to put in a raffle but too cheap to sell online!
  15. I thought I did, but turned out I didn't.
  16. I used to keep a gig list of the last 7 years, but I had moved it onto the cloud only and I accidently deleted it during lockdown and didn't notice it for over 3 months (which is how long it stays in the bin). Since then I haven't bothered
  17. To put a capo on and play the 5 frets above that!
  18. To be fair, I don't think my ability playing darts would be an different under those circumstances
  19. What kind of crazy twin bass busking outfit is this??
  20. in which case edit the title (by editing the first post) and add the word SOLD to the end of it, it will automatically lock
  21. Just saw that elsewhere - well worth the price!
  22. It is if you need both low and high. There is a song I do where I play below the E, but also on the G above the 15th fret. Obviously I could do that above the 20th fret but then things are starting to get a bit tight. I guess maybe that is what the high C is for, or bite the bullet and play it on the chapman stick (although that only goes down to C)
  23. Just take a string off and plane the side of the neck down
  24. That is the problem with that subject, both sides think the other side is looking down on them, and frankly some people of both sides are looking down on the others for whatever reason. Wheras most people actually don't care what other people use. However, was a bit surprised it went to this level of childishness
  25. Pretty well same as here, but there are always cancellations or new people in the market. We are obviously booked months ahead but we always get stuff coming through that is short notice stuff, such as cancelations. its worth putting the effort in. But I think it is an important thing to get out gigging as soon as possible to cement the idea of being a gigging group, otherwise it is just very easy to fall into the 'lets get this perfect, maybe next month we will look at gigs'.
