1. Seriously interested in this, could you hold it for me until tomorrow so I can see if I can wangle this is a Christmas gift?
2. Hi all, I'll shortly be getting my hands on a Zoom 9150 Valve DSP. The intent is to put it through the effects loop on my head, does anyone have any experience with these units? I'm hoping to achieve a nice growl sound out of it in the Gene Simmons/Lemmy ballpark.
3. Here's one of many photos my father got from the NEC. I'll get him to bung them on a CD and I shall pass them on to you in Cardiff.
4.
Cheers matey! It was our pleasure. See you & your mate at Cardiff.... and please bring as many others with you as you can! This show is now an ALL AGES show (under 16's with an adult) and we should have some 'burlesque' dancers joining us onstage for a song or two... and maybe providing some entertainment before the show.
Sounds good to me Will they 'Take it off'? Christmas will be coming early!

Distortion?

Hi all, I'm looking to add some nice growly distortion to my sound for my new project. I've got a lovely Randall Bi-Amp which I got from Oldgit a few months back, I'm looking to put a distortion through the effects loop on the low end of the amp and keep the high end clean for clarity. I'm looking for a nice grungey tone, Lemmyish perhaps. Can anyone suggest a nice reliable pedal that's relatively cheap? Cheers
6. Cheers Gary, was good to meet you. Thanks a lot for the interview, thank Ash on my behalf also. You played superbly, my mate was very very impressed. I shall see you at the Cardiff show
7. Such a lovely bass that, why do I have to be broke?
8. This is feedback for the Squier 51 bentdice sold to my friend Bill. Spotted it on the boards, after a few messages back and forth a deal was arranged. The guitar arrived to Bills satisfaction, and we're happy all round. Everyones a winner. Cheers mate.
9. How much are you looking at for each one?
10. Looks like a Prince bass
11.
The Gordon Smith LP has a cult following in the Punk scene, most Punk bands I play with use them.
Charlier Harper himself owns a Gordon Smith, so does Nicky Garratt and little old me
12. Even though I wasn't too familiar with the brand I thought it was a good deal on spec I'm desperate to know which Tune it is and how much it would've cost new
13. Got a swap
14. Cheers for that Do you think it's Japanese or Korean?
15. Ok so I bit the bullet and bought it. Here's some photos, if anyone could identify it or give me a little information I'd be very grateful
16. I love it haha. Bootsy is a complete legend, and that's up there with the Axe bass is the world of iconic instruments
17. Thanks Musky, seems to me that the Tune brand is a massive mystery... at least identifying the origin of the instrument.
18. Interesting! Any idea of how I could tell if it's an original Japanese or a Korean?
19. Any ideas what model number it could be? I'd like to do a little research and find out how old it is etc
20.
No sale here ?! Moving topic .
Sorry, was unsure where to post this. Thanks for putting it in the right place
21. Hi everyone, Just looking for some insight into a bass I could potentially buy. It's a Tune Bass Maniac. EMG pickups (a P style and a J style), Brass nut and looks like an Ebony fretboard. It's go a natural finish. Has anyone had any experience with these and how much would a fair price be?
22. Well, British Music Strings which was based in Cardiff. The instruments were imported from Korea, inspected and sold. The operation went belly up long ago. They're not uncommon, you see quite a few in cash generators and car boots around the South Wales area. Not particularly well made guitars, but a lot better than the old 'Axe' brand they used to seel in the back pages of Kerrang years ago.
23. They use polaroid lenses. One is horizontal and the other is vertical.
24.
Great bass sound, probably due to Armand Van Helden's involvement. He seems to love fuzz bass tones lately, & who can blame him!
How come you never see girls like that in rock videos anymore? Shame!
25.
Trace rig for 300 sovs? Strikes me as a pretty good deal. BTW I am in no way affiliated with the seller. Just thought I'd better point that out!
Cracking rig, shame I haven't got the space for it at the moment!
