    I’m looking for suggestions too, something to focus on during lockdown. The SBL accelerator course enrolment finishes at midnight tonight but judging by a couple of comments on here he’s done the course before. Also looking at Daric’s stuff on YT and he does paid courses. Following this thread 😉

    My 1205 and my 1805 I bought from @Wilco are very similar sounding and the closest I’ve ever been in a pair of gigging basses. The rest for me I think is purchasing identical strings and setting pickup height the same etc. The only final variable is the woods used in the basses maybe? It’s subtle but I’ve always noticed the difference on maple to rosewood boards in particular on my pj basses.

    I’ve gone the full circle, started off with a Trace rig and gone through the posh lightweight cabs and amps. Earlier this year I bought another old 90s Trace rig and boom, instant tone I’ve been looking for (or have been missing all these years). She’s a heavy beast but I’ve got a trolley 😉

    Haven’t tried either, are the NYXL’s worth the extra? I’d still be happy to pay that for 2 packs although one of my premium’s is tuned down a semitone so I don’t know if it’s worth looking at a 135 set for that.

    So lockdown has got me playing and experimenting a bit more. Thinking about putting some fresh strings on my SR’s, what is everyone using? Recommendations on string sets particularly that bring out the low B nicely?

    Hi, I don’t no. I bought it with a Fender softcase but everything including the cert is in there.

    Started doing more with snapshots and in one particular preset I’m using both preamp and a distortion. For some reason I can’t switch these both on and off simultaneously under 2 snapshots. Any ideas would be gratefully received 😐

    3 Ibby’s? Mrs Tee may have something to say about that, although I’ve smuggled 2 past in the last fortnight. The GAS is cured for now although I’d never say never to a third (they’re that good) 😊 Cheers Paul, over the moon with it mate thanks again 😊

    So only a couple of weeks later I’ve now found my second SR. An 1805 Premium bought from @Wilco of this parish. Over the moon with these two.

    Bought Paul’s Ibanez SR1805 today which he was kind enough to meet me half way with. Absolute gent and a pleasure to deal with. Got the bass home, plugged in and everything is perfect 😊 Cheers, Mark.

    One of the basses I’ve had the longest and it really is great. I’m just no longer using it as much as I should and need to release some funds. Thank you 😊

    Another bass im not currently using as much now is my Yamaha TRB5 slap cut. Early TRB5’s have a 34 scale not the 35 like the later ones which is a lot easier to play for some (myself included). Needless to say a great low B and I’ve never struggled to cut through the mix with this bass. I’ve tried to photo any marks but all round this is a great playing and sounding bass. Yamaha hardcase included. Pickup or meet-up only. Any questions give us a shout.

    Having to let go of a couple of basses to fund some recent purchases. Currently using 5 string basses in my bands so this isn’t getting used as much as I’d like. 2016 AVRI’63 P bass in Sonic Blue strung with Diadario chrome flatwounds, fantastic bass with standard huge precision sound which is even more so with the flatwounds. I’ve tried to photograph the marks on it, most of them are minor but the larger one I have shown us where I caught it on the edge of an outdoor stage the weekend after I bought it which really narked me. Added mojo I suppose. Collection only or meet up. Comes with a fender soft case with all the additional case candy like cert, ashtrays etc.

    Just bought a stunning SR1205 Premium on a whim and plugged in this morning. Absolutely blown away by those big singles, can’t wait to get it in a band mix next week. If all works out well I may look for another. Can I join the SR club? 😉
