Like many of us it looks ok from the neck down. -
I can see why they’re rare.

So far as I know, if you have two 8 ohm cabs they should be daisy chained together. Most cabs have a provision to daisy chain in parallel and when done (in parallel which is important) that presents 4 ohms to the head. So two 8 ohm cabs daisy chained together (speakon from one cab to another) would have a combined impedance of 4 ohms and then the amp would be happy (when set at 4 ohms). It would also be happy if you ran one 8 ohm cab and set it at 8 ohms. That may be a garbled answer............

Up For sale is my Eden E300T 300 watt all tube bass head in great condition. Manual states 300 watts RMS but there is some debate as to whether its around 240 watts but who cares. These are valve big boy watts and 240 of them are perfectly capable of flapping your flares. Oh yeah and it sounds really nice too. I bought it because I had moved to passive basses and wanted a bit of controllable grit which this does nicely via the tube over drive control. It has Gain, Over Drive Boost, Bass, Mid, Mid Shift, Treble and Volume controls and sounds great. It weighs in at only 20kg so it's way lighter than many similar output tube heads. Size wise it's 56cm wide, 31cm deep and 25cm high. Here's some info from the interweb; 320 watts RMS, 740 watts peak from six KT88 power tubes, 3 band EQ with mid shift switch between 550 hz and 2.2khz, foot-switchable true high gain overdrive selector, -10db pad, gain and master volumes round. Effects loop, XLR balanced out, tuner out, Speakon and 1/4" speaker outs, 4 or 8 ohm operation. This also has rear mounted bias points meaning you don't have to pay a tech to bias when you change tubes. Six individual bias points means you don't also need to replace all six tubes, when only one dies. Just pop in a new one, and bias it in! It sounds great but I also have a Laney Nexus all tube head (which I'd wanted for ages) so something has to give and unfortunately it's the Eden. I think it was serviced around 18 months ago with the previous owner. Based on the Wirral where it can be tested / trialled or I can drive within 50 miles or so to deliver or meet up. Thanks for looking.

Up for sale is my Aguilar AG 4P-Hot hot output Aguilar precision bass pickup. Measured at 17.4kOhm which is quite feisty! I haven't fitted them as they were a P bass which I ended up selling. I was looking for a matching AG-4J-Hot so I could use the P pup in my Shuker P/J but have given up after a fruitless search. Fully working but clearly used, these do not have the Aguilar stamp on the pickup cover but do have the stamp on the underside as pictured. This pickup is £140 new so £60 posted to the UK mainland. Some blurb from on t'internet; With their larger, 6MM magnets and over-wound design, these pickups have a hotter output that loves to push the input of your amplifier with a tone that is big and loud with thundering lows. Despite their sonic onslaught, the AG 4P-HOT will retain all the dynamics of your playing style. Dig in with a pick (or your fingers!) and all of the grit and nuance of your attack comes through without losing the midrange. Dimensions Length = 2.230"(56.6mm) Width = 1.100"(27.9mm) Wire: 42 gauge heavy Formvar wire Magnets: 6mm Alnico V Leads: Single conductor, cloth-covered

Up for sale are 2 x 12 inch 8 ohm celestion Green Label BN12-300X speakers in fitted but unused condition (as they were fitted and then removed!) No faults or issues just almost brand new 12" lightweight drivers in original boxes and outer packaging. I can't find many new in stock but they were at £108 each with Lean Business when in stock so grab a bargain at £90 posted for both. Specs; Nominal diameter 12", 305mm Power Rating 300w Nominal impedance 8ohm Sensitivity 95dB Chassis type Pressed Steel Voice coil diameter 2.5" Magnet type Neodymium Frequency Range 40Hz-3000Hz Resonance freq.40Hz Unit Weight 4.4lb, 2.0kg I can't find them on Celestion's website so assume they're discontinued but this is what Lean Business say; Celestion BN speakers provide the punchy bottom end that will support the rest of the band while carry forward your individual expression. Celestion's Green Label speakers are primed for high-powered rock performances, where a full-bodied, warm, defined tone is essential. Not every player wants a super-clean, high-fidelity bass sound. Characterised by an extended low end and greater linear excursion, the latest Celestion Green Label BN12-300x NEO 12" bass guitar speakers push out every note with a rich, warm tone and a powerful low-end thump! More punch and volume, with only half the weight of a standard magnet BL12-300.

Up for sale is my Dingwall D-Roc 4 string in purple / blue flip matt finish. Would take a trade, preferably 4 strings, passive, P or J but I’d need a chunk of cash my way (due to incoming Rick 4001). It’s in immaculate condition and is a great unique sounding, looking and playing bass. It’s just I’ve bought a 1980 (the year I started playing) Jetglo Rick so something has to give. It has a super lightweight mahogany body with maple neck and pau ferro fingerboard. String spacing is 19mm and nut width is 42mm. E string scale is 36.25” giving a very piano-eesque open E and the G is 34”. It’s strung with brand new Dingwall steel round wounds and plays with no issues at all. Hardware is Hipshot nickel finish. It’s passive so controls are volume, 4 position rotary pickup selector and passive tone. It’s equipped with 3 custom Dingwall pickups and the selector gives position 1 - Bridge solo, position 2 - Bridge/Middle (Parallel), position 3 - Middle and Position 4 - Bridge/Middle/Neck. My favourite sound is the middle pickup solo which actually sounds like an excited P bass. The tones from the 3 pickups range from a strangely convincing MM stingray to jazz and P bass tones. All in all a wonderful bass, very versatile and not half as tricky as you’d think to get used to. Oh yeah and an open E to die for and another thing; the fretted A on the E has similar clarity to the open A which I guess is down to the longer scale. Very clever stuff..... Based on the Wirral but can ship, deliver or meet up within 50 miles or so. Borrowed pictures from @Black Coffee from whom I bought it until we get some daylight and I take some of my own, Thanks for looking.

Up for sale is my utterly immaculate 2003-04 Crafted In Japan Fender Precision in slightly rare Daphne Blue finish. As far as I can tell there are no marks on it at all. I just remembered that when I re-strung it that the pickups have base plates and the pickguard hole positions are not standard so as far as I know it is a 70s reissue (I've since found out that it's definitely a non export 70s reissue). It's all original and benefits from a recent full set up; fret level, crown and polish, relief set, new 100-40 round wounds, action and intonation set and a fretboard lemon oil treatment. The vital stats are 40mm at the nut, 4.2 kg and it comes in an also immaculate TGI hard case. I took this in exchange from BriansBrew of this very parish but now, due to GAS striking me again, I'll have to sell it. Happy to ship it anywhere. Can also deliver within the NW or can drive to meet up within 70 miles or so from the Wirral. Thanks for looking

There should be an Eden Metro Appreciation Society (it even has a good acronym - EMAS).

The Metro combo was my go to for many years. For a 2 x 10 it had huge presence and it was a very hi-fi sound. I guess the only thing I always hankered after was a bit of dirt which it very definitely didn't have. I don't know why but active basses sounded wonderful and passive less so. My gig set up was a Modulus VJ4 with an East preamp through the Metro. I had many comments about the sound - which was wonderful. I have neither the Metro nor the Modulus (stupid me.....)

I have a VT300. Ive had a Metro combo (well 2 actually), a WT550, a WT800 and even a recent WTP600. You could say I’m an Eden fan. The recent WTP600 was a real throw back to the proper Edens from the 90s. To dispel a myth, the VT300 is about 20kg, is very serviceable (thanks to valve biasing on the rear panel) and it sounds fantastic. It even sounds fine for low volume practice and of course it has a bit of grunt n grind to it which the other Edens generally don’t. It sounds great with passive basses whereas the others lend themselves to active a bit more. It’s my personal fave of all the amps I’ve owned.

Open back headphones are apparently better for tinnitus sufferers as some of the sound naturally escapes and, as you’re aware of the background volume, you can set the level better. With sealed / closed back headphones the sound pressure level can get high without realising it. The only trouble with open back headphones is that they sort of defeat the object of silent practice. When I rehearse with headphones on I only have them half over my ears.

Isn't mine different as the cap goes to the left lug of the tone pot instead of the middle? Mine also has a link from middle tone lug to right vol lug (as you look at it) and the hot tone output comes from the left vol lug not the middle so it differs a bit. Maybe it does the same thing but differently.... It sounds fine btw.
