  1. I think you left this coat ?
  2. This also happens now and then on Amazon and Ebay. Never to me though
  3. Zombie thread alert ! After threatening to stick a GK3 on a cheap lap steel into a SY1000, I did some thinking, reading (internet), and watching (You Tube), and came to the conclusion that I wanted a good lap steel more than my Roland stuff. After selling the Roland GK3 etc, I started saving, and now have this incoming. Still undecided on the bars, as we seem to be very limited compared to the US (Also, lots dearer if the price of recommended spare strings for the two benders, the custom gauge set he's put together here, Troy Brenningmeyer's custom string set for Open D with Duesenberg and Certano Benders) but have managed to get a Ernie Ball P04233 Heavy steel bar, and a Shubb SP2 so far. Though I may have been better with a Shubb SP1, as it's a bit longer and lighter. More later
  4. Pure Bargain. I thought this would be sold by now. GLWTS
  5. Luckily, Andertons got the guitar I wanted in this week So I've gone to them, rather than Thomann to stop me worrying (also the price was exactly the same.)
  6. Maybe she thinks she's next on the Trade in list ?
  7. Don't say it, don't say it........
  8. Hmm....I'm contemplating a purchase from them in the next couple of months (it's £2k, so I'm still saving), but this fills me with doubt. When I returned a bass drum pedal years ago, it was collected at my door, and refunded within a week. Obviously financial cuts on the courier side.
  9. Absolute bargain. If I didn't already have one, I'd be all over this GLWTS
  10. What about forgetting to bring it ? Not that I would ever do anything like that, and luckily it was local so I got Mrs 2pods to bring it to the gig. Likewise, when my 20th Anny Stingray went down with a SD preamp fault. Mrs 2pods to the rescue again with my Spector. However, after gigging for over 50 years, they were the only times I had a problem at the gig. Once après gig, in the van on the way home, I attempted to get our "manager" to buy me a better bass by slinging the said Zenta (Woolworth job, which also only had three strings) bass from the Transit in transit's back doors. However a well meaning neighbour returned it next day.....complete with tyre marks. It still bloody worked I was only 14 though...
  11. If only this model had an internal mic it would be perfect, and I'd have it off you this instant. This will go quick. GLWTS
  12. stand in drummer (with original drummer's kit...I didn't have one) at 13 in 1970. A wedding in @TheGreek's old neck of the woods Braeside. Managed to bluff it until the break/buffet. Second half, first song, the usual religious Armageddon breaks out....I had a lovely view from behind the bass drum. Various people thrown out/injured, everyone drumk and happy again. At least we got paid....I think ? A year later. First gig on bass with Woolworth "Top Twenty", vaguely Precision shaped object with three strings. It stayed like that all through that band. Amp was a Selmer "Treble and Bass" with matching cab. We played the likes of "What's Going On ?" (Taste), "Black Night" (Purple), with no keyboards etc I think it was a church youth club.
  13. I've been here since 2006, and though I don't post much, have had some really good interactions with the peeps here. Initially, it was information, but quickly developed into the community that it is now. I think I've only ever met a couple of BC members, via sales but I've had so much help (Shergold Snickers, where are you now ?), fun (again Big Beef Chief), and laughs over the years. Long may it continue. PS I've also been on Bass Talk, but these days they don't write, don't phone, send postcards nuthin'
  14. Just bought a C4 from John. It's in "new" condition, sounds like a C4 should. He's so fast off the mark with despatch, and packed it extremely well. Very friendly, and good comms. Thanks John
  15. ......and, as if by magic, a C4 appears in the "FX for Sale" sub forum for me to buy.
  16. Not to worry I'm still enjoying your EQ2.
  17. First dibs anyway ?
  18. @Quatschmacher Let me know if your C4 is on the block
  19. Great band.
  20. What a bargain ! In my defence, I barely play the 5 string I currently have, (Ibanez Premium SR1300), so I'm off the hook, but somebody on here needs this.
  21. Body text says "Fender Precision Bass" Naughty, naughty
