  1. Received ABM EVO 500 amp and 2 x mini 4 x 8 cabs late on a Saturday afternoon, loaded into pub at 8.00pm, first song 10.00pm. Went great. Half deaf by 1.30am (very narrow stage)
  2. Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Fever at a young age. Was inconvenient but controlled with large doses of Enteric Aspirin and alcohol (well, I was young innit ? ) zoom to 25 years ago I was diagnosed with (then little known) Fibromyalgia. I knew something wasn't right for about five years previous. Carried on with various Codeine based stuff, was OK but started recover from work/gigs slower than usual. Eventually, over the course of the next few years, it got harder and harder. Treatments had now progressed to using Antidepressants, Anti Epileptic drugs, and Dihydrocodeine. By this time I was panicking I wouldn't make a gig because of the pain and fatigue, which would make me worse. After chucking my job, I tried to keep gigging, but eventually came to the conclusion that the whole situation was too much. Not gigged since. Messed about with recording etc. Even now I still really miss playing live. Apart from the Fibro pain, fatigue, and brain fog, I know can no longer use my right arm much from shoulder to finger tip. I can't lift it above my shoulder, it's very weak and painful. I thought I'd broken it ! I remember having what I thought was a massive flare, with the same thing in both arms, but only my right has recovered. Currently back at Rheumatology, via our practice's Physio, on Etoricoxib, Duloxetine, and Opioids. Sorry for the huge rant, I just needed to get it off my chest
  3. 2007 + both previous incarnations of BC, with a measly 410 posts. My eyes are usually sore with the amount I read on here though
  4. That's a no from me too. Why did the guy even take the gig with no intention of bringing his own bass, or making arrangements for a hire with his agent/promoter ? Not a very professional attitude, eh ?
  5. It's a "No Fee" ebay weekend, so I'll try my luck on there but leave this here just in case. Bank Transfer or PayPal accepted
  6. Near offers now considered. Please don't make me put this on ebay
  7. Oh dear, on the brink are we ?
  8. ...or £800 + P&P without bag ?
  9. Had a look at your Wal-alike, but still prefer this. It's a Humdinger ! If only this was last year, when I had spare cash GLWTS
  10. Well, I would buy a new cooker but no one wants my Helix Cookers have a flame top, right ? Anyway, you're only winning cos you're an Aberdonian
  11. This is still here ? Bloomin' bargain Have a bump
  12. I love the SR body shape and the fantastic necks, but ISTR maybe 80's 90's, they had a smaller body and more of a "broom handle" neck that I liked as well. In fact there was a red one on here a while back, SR800LE in red. Mine was black. Again, another casualty of the trade in Fenders have never really been my thing (though I love their guitars).
  13. I had one of these in the same colour. Found it really comfy, with a great neck. Had to let it go on here, to a guy from Shetland. GLWTS
  14. Bag now optional if that helps ? £800 without Bag plus P&P Line6 Helix Floor Modeller in excellent condition £850 with bag Willing to post at buyers cost and risk, although it will very well packed in it's original boxes via Parcelforce. I've had it since new, in a non smoking home. Never been outside the house, much less gigged. Please excuse the dust and finger marks. it was very sunny, but I'll give it a right good dusting Any questions let me know. I have excellent feedback both on here and ebay under the same user name: 2pods Thanks
  15. Seeing there's no interest in this I'm going to put my Helix Floor and Line6 Helix bag up later, probably £900 +postage, in a separate ad. If any of them sell I'll keep the other
  16. Are they not for kicking the eyes out of Spiders ? 😉
  17. Good video. Agree with all of that. There's nowhere near the choice of a Helix. As you said, enquiries regarding this don't go down that well on the Fractal forum. However, the sounds that are there for guitar are amazing. Just not so easy to get for a bass player looking for all the usual suspects. I preferred the sound of the Orange guitar amp over the bass amp too
  18. I had one of these in Wine Red Sparkle, which saw me through about four years solid gigging. Nice 80s sound from the bridge pickup, and full old school on the neck unit. I loved it. GLWTS
  19. Don't know if any of you Gentlemen (and Ladies) fancy letting any of your 4 string Ibby Premiums in trade for a Helix Rack and matching foot controller + some money my way ? Looking for very good condition, low action. Wouldn't have normally asked here directly, but I've made an derrière of my advert in the "For Sale", and it says trades can't be asked for in the "Wanted" section. Feel free to remove it, if it's against the rules. TIA
  20. Price Reduction £900 Maybe trade WHY. I'd like a Ibanez SDGR Premium 4 string plus cash my way, but must be very good condition and low action.
