  1. Glad its a 5 not a 4. Otherwise..... GLWTS
  2. I posted this on vguitar.com after selling a Boss GP-10 It was only about 3 to 6 months old, in mint condition, working perfectly when it was despatched, really fast delivery, engaged with buyer when he was moaning that it hadn't appeared by noon as "that's when the Parcelforce van comes" checked the tracking that he could have done himself etc etc. 2 weeks later 14 Feb The buyer ****** created a return ********* Order number ************* Reason for return Doesn't work or is defective Comments Some sound doesnt play and required a GK3 pick Up. 14 Feb You sent a message Message Hi You asked me in our phone call whether there was a GK3 pickup and cable included. I said no, this version doesn't come with it and it clearly states that on the box, and in the manual, you knew you needed the pickup and cable to access the guitar modelling aspect of the unit. You were happy with it. I also told you you that the GK3 pickup was available separately on ebay. I also stated "no returns" in my auction. Seeing it was yourself who raised the question about the optional pickup you were fully aware that it was needed for some functions, yet you still wanted to go ahead with the sale. I'll copy this to ebay to see what they say about it, but I've been both honest and accommodating during this transaction and if you take a detailed look at my feedback you'll see that. 16 Feb You sent a message Message Why are you saying this is defective ? It said in my listing that in order to use the guitar models and tunings you needed a GK3B and a cable. You asked me in a phone call if it came with a GK3 and I said it didn't. Why didn't you say you didn't want it then ? 16 Feb The buyer sent you a message Message Some sound in the bank 90,91,92...doesn't play. 16 Feb You sent a message Message Do these patches have GTR in front of them ? 16 Feb You sent a message Message Can you give me the names and numbers of the patches please 16 Feb You sent a message Message Hi I see what you mean now. If you look up the back of the manual there's a section saying "Sound List". If you read it you'll notice patches from 91 etc onwards say "init" or are blank. These are for storing your own patches. Honestly, there's nothing wrong with the unit. 17 Feb The buyer sent you a message Message I would like to return it. 17 Feb You sent a message Message I've just explained why those patches are empty and make no sound. You knew you'd need a GK3 for the tunings and guitar modelling. It was in my listing, and I also told you over the phone. Why are you claiming these things as defects ? I see from your feedback that you've had a Roland GR20, which works exactly the same regarding needing a GK3, so you were well aware of it. 17 Feb The buyer sent you a message Message I used to have roland gr 20 but came with gk3 but yours it is different. Your box is different from other gp10. Il looks take not original. 17 Feb The buyer sent you a message Message Your box looks fake compare to the original. 17 Feb You sent a message Message You're grasping at straws here. I still have the receipt from **********. No fake. What's really wrong here ? You said it said it needed a GK3. I pointed out it was in the listing and discussed it. You said patches 90 odd upward didn't work. I pointed out that they were left intentionally blank by Roland. I also referred you to the manual where it shows that. So what's really the matter ? 17 Feb The buyer sent you a message Message I am not satisfied with the product because I cannot not play all the sounds. I will return it for a refund. 17 Feb You sent a message Message The box is original. You're not satisfied because you have no GK3. SOME sounds can only be accessed with a guitar fitted with it. This was made clear in the original listing, the manual, by me, and you know that's how it works because you've had a GR20. Why did you buy it if you knew you wouldn't be satisfied ? First you complain about the GK3 access (which you know about), then you complain about the user patches (which are intentionally left blank), then you accuse the box of being fake. Did you read the listing ? 17 Feb You sent a message Message The unit does exactly what was stated in the listing. Why did you buy it if you knew it wouldn't satisfy you ? Did you just want to try one ? I'm genuinely interested. 17 Feb You sent a message Message If you are going to return my GP-10, I need to know it's in the same condition I sent it in, everything that was in the box is also returned in the same box. Also you need to pay for a Parcelforce 48. That's fair as I did the same for you. You can send me the tracking number. When it gets here, I'll inspect it, and if it's the same as it was when it was despatched I will give you a full refund. By the last of it I was fed up. eBay wouldn't defend me. I looked up the guy's address with Google Earth. It was a studio in London with CDs for sale, guitar lessons, and lessons in a particular type of Congolese music (I mention this only to give a clue to where the studio is...NOT because of any racial thing. He could be a Leprechaun playing Heavy Rock for all I care). I think basically he wanted my GP-10 for a recording. The thing is he has good feedback, mostly with regard to instrument sales as you would expect for somebody operating a small studio. Luckily it did come back undamaged and working perfectly after it's "Hire". I relisted at the same price and sold it to a very happy customer. I'm still baffled, but I don't think I'll be selling on eBay again. If anyone wants his eBay handle drop me a PM.
  3. What does it weigh ? Ooops, wrong thread ๐Ÿ˜‰
  4. Roland VB99 for sure. or the other way around...โ€ฆ.I did a year in the 80s with a cover band doing all sorts of stuff with a Aria TSB550 (Bank loan edition ๐Ÿ˜‰) defretted and lined by Jimmy Moon. Even the fashionable (i.e. dubious ) brass percussion plate up at the dusty end. No one knew it was fretless until I played it in that style (yes, there was an Octaver involved, and yes there was a good bit of Paul Young/Pino going on ๐Ÿ˜)
  5. Thanks Basschat for still being here. Helping when life went wrong (You lot know who you are ๐Ÿ˜), helping me sell my stuff, helping me buy new stuff, the humour, the entertainment, and general goodness of the whole. Carry On....
  6. There is a 4 string version on ebay, but unfortunately would have to sell this first. I'll take more pics and advertise it on here as per. Other half is now giving me the "I told you so" about me and five strings ๐Ÿ˜–
  7. Alas, I just can't get on with the Premium 1305. So it must go or be swopped for a nice Ibby 4 string to go with my Premium SR30th Anniversary which is going nowhere Mind you, finding somebody wanting to do that up here is a tall order, but I'm just not getting on with 5 strings.
  8. We shall see. I'll give it another week with the 5 just to make sure. I can't wait to hear the SY-1000 in bass mode. It sounds great with guitar. Hoping it's just as good with bass.
  9. I think it's just because it's my first 5 string and I'm not used to it. I've had a lot of Ibby basses. From the original small bodied SRs, to a 1300PM, and a neck through Prestige (which was curiously bland sounding ๐Ÿคฏ) as well a 25th Anni Stingray, just for a change but they've all been 4 string. I'm a bit worried about the Roland pickup's double sided tape marking the finish in case I really don't get on with the 1305. Obviously my 30th Anni is far too pretty to install the GK3 on ๐Ÿ˜‰
  10. Thinking I maybe should have bought the SR1300 rather tha1305 ? Don't know whether to try and swap it, sell it, or persevere and try and buy another. I was going to use the 1305 with a GK3B pickup and Boss SY-1000.
  11. Thank you. New Premium 1305 5 string. I'll have to find a pic of the SR30th anni
  12. Mad Ibanez numbering ๐Ÿ˜ I do love it though. โ€ฆ...and, it's NBD for me as I collected the 1305 today too. Had a quick play. Nice sounds and feel. Though I will have to get used to it, as its my first 5 string.
  13. I should never post when I'm sleepy. This would be a 1305, not a 1205. Doh ! I also think my SR30th is just a 1204 with holes in ๐Ÿ˜
  14. Ooops ! After having a 800, 1300pm, 1000 prestige, I'm now on the SR30 4 string, but I thought it was about time I tried a 5 string, so it should arrive this week. Looking forward to it. Just that nobody seemed to have one.
  15. Never ever seem to see a SR1205 Ibby mentioned in the thread. Waiting on delivery. Everything seemed to check out. 16.5mm spacing, circuit and Nordy BS's the same as on my 30th anniversary SR4. Just wondering ?
  16. Beautiful...but above my price range. GLWTS
  17. I thought that was his brother..."Lurpak" Known for his buttery tone ๐Ÿ™‚ IGMC Seriously RNR HOF ?

    BOSS sy-1000

Thanks Ped. You'll know before us I expect.

Well, I'd have to buy a GK3B (again) and another bass to put it on. it's mounting up ! Not long sold a couple of GKBs, a GR55 and a GK, and well before that a VB99. I'd have to see the manual and give it a try first this time. I found the GR55 a disappointment, so its Helix at the mo for bass and guitar with GP-10 for guitar synth

    BOSS sy-1000

I know, but there are bass models on it. You just have to play them with a GK. If you like doing that. I was using a GR55 with a GK3B equipped bass, and the bass models are the same.

Nope. My question was is the bass (and guitar for that matter) modelling going to have some more of the VB99 virtual models, rather than the subset of them found in the GP-10 and GR-55, which amounted to Pbass, Jbass, and a strange acoustic guitar bass. I was thinking more of the fretless, double bass, the one whose name we may never utter (RK), the likes of the defretter etc. The bass models WOULD need a GK2/3B, also if you want to use pitch to midi.

    BOSS sy-1000

https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/boss-sy-1000-guitar-synthesizer Did we know about this ? Complete with bass mode a la GR-55, but boasting an acoustic bass model and unspecified poly FX. Hopefully from the VB99 such as the defretter. I really miss the fretless electric and Double Bass mode. Though if its just a merger of the GR-55 and the SY-300 I won't bother.
