I haven't been on for a long time, not having played for over five years. I'm trying hard to raise some enthusiasm for home recording endeavours, but will probably end up on the off topic or the for sale threads (again !)
I have 3 Aria Pro II CSB basses and they are excellent. They have a bit more growl than a precision and quite responsive controls. I have had 2 TSB basses too but foolishly sold them on a Fender Crusade... (on look out for another TSB350 - if anyone happens to have one for sale...). The medium scale suits me well and also, as a pick player, the fact that the string spacing doesn't increase much at the bridge really helps.
I have your 350 :-) It's great, so you can't have it back I might let my 650 go at some point. Depending on how skint I get, as the 550 does pretty much everything I need.
-
Right, that's me officially lost it. I've posted the same content twice in two different posts in the same thread. Sorry people

I have Aria TSBs to the tune of a 350,550, and 650. I'll get 'round to photos when (and if ) things get less hectic in pod towers. I love the build, feel, and tone.

Away back in the stone age , when I last used plectrums there used to be big triangular Fender Mother Of Toilet Seat chappies. They were good, I'm thinking of finding some and giving my fingers a rest. Shiny !!

strange question: regarding cordless keyboard /mouse..
2pods replied to RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE's topic in General Discussion
I seem to be getting latency when writing a post. its as if the forum software is missing out letters because I'm typing too quickly, and there is no chance of that with my one finger method Is this what you mean ? or is it like my Samsung Galaxy tablet that seem to "bounce" the web page ? -
I googled it to prove you wrong and you are indeed quite right. Just so long as someone knows what they are talking about.... now as you all were
I must have been having a rare good day
Not something I'd ever have noticed, except I bought a VIIS by mistake. It was one of those "There's something wrong with this bass" moments. The VIS had a conventional split pickup. The VIIS was the P/J version.
Ah, so it was two of the red VIS I had destroyed. It's a pity 'cos I liked them. They were the only two Sound Control had, so they tried to "repair" the nut on the second one. It had a jazz type nut on it, but came back to me with a cut down classical guitar nut ! I swopped it for a Korg expander.

Thanks Noel. I knew you'd remember
I'm quite tempted by these http://www.fender.co...gerboard-black/
....but they're both 34" scale
-
I had a red medium scale Yamaha for a while in the 80's It looked like a BB. I took it back to sound control after the nut had broken. The replacement's nut broke too. Same bass, same song, same bit. Weird !!
-
I've got a 350, a 550, and a 650. I had another 550 that I had defretted. I foolishly sold it, and would love to have it back. Though I think I'd need a 400 to have the set. They're getting harder to find, and are also pricier these days, but I want to keep mine.

You could have a look for old Aria Pro II TSB and CSB basses. They're well made and sound good.
-
Errr.................have a look at his other stuff for sale
-
Yamaha S something or other. There was a guy on UKMG who used to collect the guitar versions.
-
Amazing !

I used Roto "Solo" half rounds on my fretless for years. There was hardly any wear on a rosewood fret(less !) board.
