1.
Blimey mate. No offence meant, but it's posts like this that makes me realise I have a very open mind. The goal is to make music, not a technical exposé on how to record instruments in musical format. I also think that your olde worlde recording methods are limited to an old geezer with an old bass and an old amp, one tone, one approach, one option, James Jamerson for example. Popular music is so much more complex now. I could be using five different tones with different effects and envelopes in one song. You would hate the way I get my sounds and how I record. But I would like to think the music speaks for itself. I wonder what you think of this as a bass tone? I'm intereted to know http://kitrichardson.../you-always-did
I really like that tone. How did you get it, or is that a Nige trade secret ?
2. I forgot to say each Vex pack contains roughly 50 custom designed kits. Harmonica

Someone more versed than me will be along shortly, but I think most blues stuff (like GG) is cross harp i.e. if it's in E (as is GG), you need an A harmonica.
4. SOLD Roland TD9 V.2 Vdrum Module with 6 Vex Packs, wiring loom, plinth and Manuals £349 Module is in excellent condition, from a smoke free house. It's had light use, and has never been gigged. I've had it from new. I've now priced it for a quick sale. The Vex packs that come with it are Acoustix, Expressions, Hodgepodge, Master 50, Metal Mania, Naturals, and Toolbox. These cost over £100, and make a huge difference. They really show off what the TD9v2 and vdrums are capable of. I'll throw in a flash drive to put both them , and any other libraries of kits on. Along with the module is the cable loom, the stand, power supply, and manuals. This is the version 2 module with more snare and bass sounds, and twice the number of kits. Paypal or Bank Transfer is fine, but I will only post within the UK . Postage is free within mainland UK, and collection of course is also free. You're welcome to come and demo it first. It's also advertised on vdrums.com Any questions, just ask.
5. [sub]Will that sort out my "no email notifications" too ?[/sub] [sub]Maybe StraightSix is getting all mine as well as his [/sub]
6. I don't use Gmail for BC, and there is nothing in my Junk folders. Would it have anything to do with me changing ISP ? It's still the same email address though, as I have a domain.
7. .....ah, but up until recently all was well, and had been for years.
8. Still no email notifications
9. Richard paid me very fast, and is a very nice guy. Deal with confidence ! Thanks Richard.
10. Getting notified when on BC, but not getting any emails for them.
11. Yes that's fine. Send me your address, and I'll get them off to you soon as
12. Seems OK to me. I have donated and had my thank emails, but I think £20 a year is a small price to pay even just for BC itself. I mean, if there was no BC, I would have to actually talk to people
13. I'm the same. Not getting any notifications at all, be it new post, PM, etc
14. £13. It says so up there Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I'm not getting notifications. Hopefully, I've fixed it now.
15. V-Wah now off to eBay. Rest to follow soon, by the looks of it
16. Brand New Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky long scale 4 string set. Nickel Roundwound 105-85-65-45 £13 posted, or swap for unopened set of EB Extra Slinky (95-70-60-40) or D'Addario 100-80-60-40 roundwounds
17. I had an original Hofner Violin Bass that I bought for £50, and stupidly sold for the same amount. It was great wee thing. However, I used to put roundwounds on it. I also had a semi-permanent loan of a weird Vox short scale with a coaxial (like a TV aerial) socket. That was good too, and later on a Yamaha BB that was medium scale. I broke the nut on two of them in the same bit of the same song. Sound Control called me "Mr Destructo" and gave me my money back. Long before any of that lot that was a " Top Twenty" 3 string horror. I was very young
18. I really like the old 32" medium scale Aria TSB basses, but prefer the older ones with the 4 tuners in a line headstock. I have two, a 650N, a 350B, and I'd like my old 550N fretless back. The scale length is a nice compromise between the SG/Mustang 30" and the usual 34" (I've had Stingrays, Precisions, and various Ibanez).
19. Bump. Ebay draws ever closer...............
20. I thought SteveK played with MM's Earthband....or was this previously ?
