1. Sorry no. It has a socket for a 6v, and looks like a + top/-ring barrel.
2. I'll give this one last try, or a trade , if anyone has a small pedal board that's still big enough to take a Boss Power Wah, MXR bass Compressor, Source Audio EQ, and an Aphex Bass Exciter
3. Me (and it seemed like the whole of our street !) saw him at Green's Playhouse (before it was the Apollo ) in Glasgow, on the "Aladdin Sane" tour. It was amazing ! The row of seats we were in collapsed, but who cared ? Bowie and the band were in excellent form. I think they enjoyed it too. Our little band of 14 year olds were out giving it "Moonage Daydream", "Suffragette City" et all around the various youth clubs (doubt they still have them !) at the time. Looks like it's iPlayer for me.
4. Stu bought my vdrums, with prompt payment. He was friendly, patient, with great great comms through out Thanks Stu
5. I remember being told that I was "just getting paid for enjoying yourself" as if this was wrong, or some kind of scam Of course, this was back in the dark ages, when every second person wasn't in a band, so being a musician wasn't THAT common then YMMV
6. Just added the other PD85 pad and stuck £40 on the price. Bump
7. Put me down for that too, and don't forget the "VSTi Drums" sub forum. Though that could be covered by "Recording"
8. I use either vdrums, midi keyboard, or my secret weapon - a Korg Nano Pad. Other pads are available etc
9. In case anyone is thinking about postage, it would be two parcels about 20Kg. Collection is still free of course, as is a demo anytime.
10. I've been having a playabout with the new kit and discovered I don't really need the second PD80R pad I was using, so I could throw that in for an extra £40. I'm also thinking about keeping my old KD80, and selling the TD8 with a brand new KD-9 instead.Takes up less room, and is gloss black.
11. I was asked if the Vex kits existed only on the module, and if they could be lost by reset etc, so maybe this will help: The Vex kits are custom kits created by http://www.vexpressionsltd.com/ which change the kit entirely. Roland should be ashamed of themselves compared to the Vex stuff They are files which load via any sysex, or, and I prefer it, VdrumLib (unfortunately that would need to be downloaded and paid for. I think it's about £15 http://www.vdrumlib.com/download.html ) which lets you mix and match with collections and/or your own, or preset kits. The software is transferable, My lot will only work with a TD8 module. It's different collections for different modules. Hope this helps a bit.
12. Thanks. If the worse comes to the worst, I suppose I could split it, but I'd rather sell it as one thing. That's why I've priced it very low for what it is. The Vex kit collections make it sound even better.
13. Sorry about the withdrawl for a bit. I wasn't sure if my replacement kit would be happening. All is well now.
14. If I didn't need loot for a new TD kit, I'd have this for my laptop. I have a 0404 with my desktop which works great. Have a bump on me.
15. I'm selling my TD8 kit plus CH12, PD7, PD8 pads and five VEX kit packs, comprising of the following TD-8 Module and plinth Roland black vDrum Stand 1x CH12 Hihat pad (dual trigger) upgraded from PD7 1x FD6 HiHat control pedal 1x KD9 bass trigger (Brand New) 1x PD80R mesh snare (dual trigger) 3x PD80 mesh tom +1x PD85 mesh tom 1x PD8 pad (dual trigger) + arm and clamp 1x PD7 pad +arm and clamp 2x CY12R/C cymbals (dual trigger) 2x Cymbal arms Stand, cables, clamps, manual, and collection of VEX kits: TD8 Elite TD8 Session TD8 Collective TD8 Master 50 TD8 Expressions It's in really good condition, and I changed the battery about three months ago. So that should last for a while :-) This is what you'll get minus one cymbal, one arm, and clamp, and the stool and bass pedal. I've got it on the vdrum forum for £540 (where I was advised I'd make a lot more splitting it, but hey ho), but for fellow Bass Chatters £520 plus post, or free collection.
16. My Lowden F25C came from there towards the end of the Lowden licience thing. I got it for £1495. New Lowden price is £3K or thereabouts. I wish I could have kept it. Funnily enough I was on Avalon's website recently, and their prices were fair for the guitar, but I think if people are going to spend £3K or thereabouts, It's always going to Lowden, Atkin, Brook, Taylor, Gibson, and Martin, because there was never enough PR about the brilliant guitars they made.
17. Nor bass related but sad. Just seen this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-18207130 It's a shame. I had a Lowden F25C made there when they were still in partnership with GL.
18. Sorted ! didn't like my email addy. Had to use a google one
19. I'd love my old Aria TSB550N back. I had it defretted by Jimmy Moon (who fitted it with a brass slap plate too, as I was all Pino-ed up at the time.). I foolishly let it go to the keyboard player (who was really another bass player moonlighting on keys), who then sold it on. I heard rumours of it being used for a church band (don't know how it got there), but then lost track.
20. Our last lot usually started with "Lovely Day" (Bill Withers), then "Down Under" Second set started with "I wish" with the "Sir Duke" riff tagged on the end. I think they liked to make sure I was sober
