Price drop and added pics style bump........
I realised the original price may have been a bit over optimistic.........
I -
I've had this bass since November last year but I need the cash for something I've got my eye on....
Condition wise, it's what you would expect for a bass that's 30 years old, I'd called it mildly "roadworn" with marks and dings in all the right places. The neck is very smooth, the electrics are all original as far as I know and the JV serial number (JV20.....) I think means she was put together between Oct 82 and March 83. She is also strung with a set of LaBella flats (45-105's) In my mind the best flats out there. It comes with a tatty old Stagg 100% imitation tweed case if required
Everyone knows what these P bass sound like and the history behind them but any questions just drop me a line. Better pics available on request
I'm based on the Essex/East London border, can courier if need
I'm more than willing to meet up or drop off the bass if the distance isn't to far
I'm really only after cash.... Unless in the vain hope you have a spare Stingray, Spector or Yamaha BB1024 just laying around doing nothing but gathering dust -
Forgot to add, do they come with screws etc.? -
Would you post to the UK.? -

This bass is now sold pending the usual.... -

I would certainly be very, very interested but sadly, thanks to car bills, I have no extra cash at the moment

Forgot to add......
She includes a Stagg tweed hard case that's in decent condition, is strung with a set of chrome flats and the price has courier charge included..... -
£300
Mint condition, rehearsed a dozen or so times, gigged once but sadly the band I've been using it in has suddenly gone south..!
No dings or marks at all, plays and feels superb, fantastic finish, the Classic Vibe range punches well above its price range....
Some modifications in the way of a Seymour Duncan pickups, a KioGon replacement wiring kit, far better than the standard issue it came with and the added bonus of screw fixings for the pickups... So no more soldering required... Lastly, I sanded the black pickguard down to a Matt finish....
I'm based in the East London/Essex area and I am willing to drop off if the distance isn't too far.. I will post via courier if we can come to some arrangement.....
Trade wise I really am after either a Squire or MIM jazz or p bass, any decent condition or colour considered.....
iPhone pictures are all I can do at the moment, hopefully they will come out ok -
Any interest in a 50's CV P bass trade at all? -
It's all my fault.......this has been sold
I was moving house at the time the ad went in and I think keeping an eye on bass chat had slipped down the list of importance...!
The whole BABCIZ thing was weird for me.... I got it for a jazz bass and it just did sit well, I'd say it definitely effected the tone. I put on my P bass and it sounded great but it just didn't look right at all.
Anyway.... Apologies all round
