having a clear out in the attic today and found one of my two curly cables - its a transparent clear cover so you see the shiny screencore inside im off to maplins and get a couple of decent 1/4 inch jacks and resurrect it - it's circa '77 MB1. Will probably be another 35 years before youve managed to solder the plugs on! remember trying to resolder one once...nightmare

I bought a cheap curly lead from Tandy in the early 80s and used it exclusively at every gig and practise until last year when it failed at a gig. There's probably a much more scientific way of explaining it but all the thing really does is to put a damper between the cabinet and the floor to limit vibrations from passing from one surface to the other. MB1. Its a Carpet?...

Sorry my point was not well-worded, I'll try again: I had a wireless system but after doing a direct comparison with a top-quality instrument cable, I immediately sold the wireless. YMMV MB1. Been there! done that also! my intention has not been curly however!
