Saw many a great band there, but it always amazed me how the place stayed open for the first 6years until the Madchester boom.It was always dead in there unless there was a gig on.
MB1. Many Bands played there not just Factory Bands You must have been in on the famous Nude Night!
Don't underestimate these amps. I've owned a few Markbass amps and these compare very well but at a bargain price. The sound is very Markbass-like but you need to max the input to get decent volume. That's not a bad thing in itself just a feature. The 2 x 500watt set up has been criticised by some but it's fine if you own one or a pair of 8ohm cabs. A great amp for small money. Good luck selling and have a bump. Frank.
MB1. Sound Great through Ashdowns Superfly cabs! BUMP!
For 4 and a half grand I would expect the headstock to have at least looked like it had been designed...
MB1. Apparently the headstock is the shape of the original Hacienda dancefloor! and the number on the front was the Haciendas number on Whitworth street.

MB1. Apart from buying Bricks as keepsakes of Madchester Hacienda history, seems other parts of the building are now also surfacing for sale. It would seem that Pete Hook has found an interesting use for the Haciendas Dancefloor, hes had sections of it made into Limited Edition Semi Acoustic Basses. Not a bad idea,id rather have one of these in my front room than a brick! (possibly the only bass ive previously danced on too!).Alas not the cheapest of souvenirs for 4500 quid. Now on show at P.M.T Regent Road Salford Manchester.
Hi all (and particularly the Status fans out there!) I bought my Status series II back in 1986. It came with an original fitted case, that has a moulded foam insert shaped to the exact shape of the bass. Very safe, very snug. So far so good. Unfortunately, 24 years later, that foam is starting to deteriorate quite badly into a dark grey gritty powder. It is getting into various holes and gaps in the bass and generally irritating me! Is this a known problem in Status cases of this age or have I just been unlucky? Is it easy to replace? Need it be done by Rob Green or is there another manufacturer that can custom mould/cut foam to fit? Just wondering. Thanks in advance.
MB1. Not just Your Problem! the foam does deteriorate in cases after many years! not just Status Ones! .You might want to have a word with Lozbass on the forum ! he has had cases refoamed in the past and will probably be able to help!.

***SOLD***FS: Ashdown MAG300 210T - £180***SOLD***
MB1 replied to BassBus's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
Ashdown MAG300 210T is up for sale. In very good condition but for a very small intermitent fault. Very occasionally when the amp is first switched on there is a bit of a hum. Giving it a hit on the top always stops this and there is no further problem while it is on. The Ashdown factory checked the amp over and could find nothing wrong with it. I stress this is very intermitenet and the amp sounds great otherwise. Due to the fault I am offering this at £180 cash on delivery/collection. Sorry no trades. Due to the size it would be easier with a pickup only. I am willing to meet halfway and can drive as far as Newcastle or Edinburgh with a small contribution to petrol. I am based in Berwick upon Tweed.
MB1. "Have you tried Changing your Socks?....I'll Get me coat!" BUMP! -
