Hey I have my Ashdown EVO II 500 watt head and as far as I'm aware the thing might as well be bullet proof these are very solid amps indeed! BUT (there's never usually a 'but' with Ashdown gear) The VU meter has stopped working completely, no matter how much I crank it I get NO movement. Any ideas why? It still makes all the sounds it did before its just randomly not moving the VU bar, the backlight for that area still lights up though. Cheers Cai
MB1. I use the same head in a combo you should have an active/passive switch on it? i see you have a Active Stingray? plug that in and with the gain about 12 o clock and the volume LOW while playing you should be getting some needle movement.Try flicking the active passive switch in and out...There should definately be some movement...If there is still no movement the vu meter itself is at fault.

It's fully boxed with instructions and has never been used. I'm looking for somewhere around the £20 mark delivered, but I'm open to offers. I also have a new Danelectro pedalboard still for sale if anyone is interested. (havent taken it back to either cos work commitments meant Ive left it too long to do so reasonably) anybody any reccomendations? north west england. after the independant tech, route, I would also consider the "bigger" company approach KWIM?thanks W btw checked: cabs, cables ect
MB1. ...KWIM? ...Just Figured it!......Know What I mean!

One of these chaps is a font of knowledge on all things Fender. The other is called Leo. Oh, aye.. forgot to mention that one of them is one of BC's own.
