As they say themselves you are not allowed to be critical of their products on their forum paid by them. As much as a hint of criticism and all the fanboys jump on you and remind you that Sterling Ball is god and that no bad bass ever left the factory and that all other basses by other manufacturers should be used for firewood. I had a very nice Stingray but it, as most of them seem to be, was bedevilled by the G problem. No matter how much setting up (by professionals) I was never able to adequately get the G sounding as I wanted it. However, my Musicman SUB gave me no such problem. I'll let you work out which one was sold and which one stayed.
MB1. I gather you kept the sandwich?....Hot! Hot!

 18.
I did one of them once, thanks for reminding me. Three bands from Preston, around 120 of our own people. The other 200 or so people in the club just stood at the very back of the room acting like they were far too cool to give a sh*t. We got our thirty or so quid, but it cost us about fifty quid to do the gig. Another massive waste of our f*cking time, as are all pay-to-play gigs.
MB1. + Seven and Twelvety!
 19.
The problem is that his arguments are compelling to him, but not to me. He'll say that "it's about getting our name out there" or "the guy that's booking us is friends with so-and-so who runs the bar across the road and so if we do the crap gig then he'll put in a good word for us." Bear in mind that trying to change this guy's mind is like trying to push poo back up a cat's anus. But I agree with your argument that subtlety has proven to be a failing tack, and it's time to be a bit more frank about my desires. S.P.
MB1. ...Perhaps they need a good talking to,if you dont mind me saying so?....Perhaps a bit more?,my girls sir, they didn't care for the Overlook at first, one of them actually stole a pack of matches and tried to burn it down....But i "Corrected" them Sir...and when my wife tried to prevent me from doing my duty...I "Corrected" her! Delbert Grady (The Shining)
 20. MB1. If youre lucky he may be able to get the rest of the rod out without having to remove a section of the fingerboard(thats where it gets expensive!). Best Wishes!
