I bought one of their cables from a local guitar shop last week, and the guy basically told me that if the cable fails in any way, to bring it back to them and they'll replace it free of charge, receipt or not. I can't understand why most guitar shops wouldn't do this, they basically just send the faulty cable back and get a new one in return which they can sell at full price.
MB1. Thats funny!... Planet waves U.K distributors couldnt understand why the shops werent just replacing them (with or without reciept!) either!.
Hi, I'm selling a bass at the moment, and also have it listed at Talkbass where a couple of people have expressed interest in having it shipped to the US. I have a hard case and plenty of bubble wrap, just need to procure a cardboard box (so if any local BC'ers have one they don't want let me know!). Does anyone know the cheapest way (with insurance included) to do this? Also, would I be best to ship it as is, or loosen the strings first? I'm thinking if it hits a warm climate the neck could bow slightly... MB1. ......Tell em to get the kettle on!....Take a holiday.... and the bass to the states!...a lot safer!
Hi all, an older and basic hardcase - brown tolex covered with a thin aluminium strip around the edge. In good condition and clean. Yellow plush interior - again, reasonably clean for its age. This is a basic, rectangular case but is reasonably protective and great for travelling with a Precision or Jazz. £5 collected from central Manchester - the whole fiver will be donated to Basschat ('can't say fairer etc.)
MB1. whereabouts?
Apologies if this has already been covered - I couldn't find it. I'm looking for a recommendation for a really good strap. It's not quite money no object but I'm happy to pay proper money for a really good strap. I tend to play fairly high so massive length is not an issue.
MB1. Fender do a woven strap (not the plasticy seat belt type) with thick stitched suede ends and a oval leather fender logo on one end.Ive had red ,black and sand coloured ones for years...Absolutely Mustard Straps if you can find one. Martin.
Yeah, the Lifetime Warranty thing is really great, I'll be buying 15-20 mic cables very shortly and although some other manufacturers have been tempting, I think I'll go with Planet Waves for this reason alone! The little cable tie thing they have attached to each cable is really useful too. +1 from me
MB1. ..Yes!...They do exactly what they say on the lead!
