11. MB1. You should be able to get a straight exchange on this for another combo "same for same" its not out of Sound Controls warranty, and it sure aint out of Ampegs. This should be down to Sound Control sending the unit back as faulty,be nice with them and theres no reason why they wont do this.Dont forget to take your reciept/packaging if you still have it. Is this the beginning of quality control problems with Ampeg Vietnam?

 14.
I have to say Im very tempted. I was looking for something to practise at home, but this may do the live thing as well. Can you bypass the unit with one pedal?
MB1. I Believe you can! full spec for this can be found on the ad for the Digitech BNX3 on Ebay, also more information and reviews available from Harmony Central. The unit is in as new condition no marks/scratches comes with instructions /case.Im not big on effects to be honest so this really hasnt had that much use. Great piece of kit for rehearsing at home and by all accounts from harmony central good for live work too!.This ones just sat in the case at the moment. May be able to drop it off if your not too far away!

 16. MB1. cheapest i can find these is £290 on Ebay without a case!... type bump!

 18.
Let me share one of my secret artists with you - or, I should say, why-is-this-guy-a-secret? artists: Mike Keneally. Here's a recent video of "Dolphins" with bassist Doug Lunn, but he's also worked with Bryan Beller extensively.
MB1. Not unknown to Frank Zappa Fans!
 19.
I think it was Dave Kilminster who summed it up quite nicely by saying something along the lines of: "why sound like two crap [bass] guitarists when you can sound like one good one?"
MB1. PURE CLASS!
 20.
Here you go http://starsunguitars.com/Starsun%20electr...ss%20RSB-11.htm A whole bass with performing LEDs for less than half the price of having Martin Sims trained woodworms fit them to your current bass.. I've got Fretlord glodots on the side of my SX. £10 and they work OK. http://www.fretlord.com/ Not as good as the LED sidemarkers on my Shukers I got them mostly becasue the side marker dots on the SX are tiny and my old eyes can't see them easily (in daylight, let alone on a dark stage) You stick them on and charge them up with a special little UV torch and they glow for a bit. They are Ok and, like the rest of my SX project, very good value for money compared with the alternatives.
MB1. Visions of confused bassplayer wandering darkened stage, trying to find bass, using special uv torch! Do they do these for Drummers?
 21. MB1. "The Bass centre is no longer a shop" Was it ever?....... or am i missing something here?....us Mancunians were robbed of this privelage many moons ago! Manchester Bass Centre R.I.P.
 22.
I need to get rid of this wonderful unit as I'm downgrading amplification to a small head instead of preamp+amp+filter. It works perfectly and is in pretty good cosmetical conditions too. It's the best buy if you have a stereo bass but it's awesome with standard basses too... it's basically a tone shaper that gives you all the versatility of Series II basses without the hassles of owning an Alembic bass I'll consider reasonable offers. I could be interested in trades for small, light heads or basses in the same price league. €550 or BO. Pics upon request.
MB1. hassles to owning an Alembic series II Bass...... Surely Not!!! Ave a Bump!
 23.
And low, it has become a Status thread. I played a Highway 1 the other day. Such a simple bass, but substantial. Black satin finish. Lovely.
MB1. Nearly as nice as a Kingbass! Sorry i'll get me coat.
