Hi, might be interested in this, if still available. Having tried an ABM in the past I rejected in favour of the Ashdown MAG range because of the fan noise (I play quite quiet stuff), is there audible fan noise on this on4e - is it audible when you're not playing for example? Oli
MB1. Fan Noise?????.......... Try playing for the Spice Girls relaunch band that should cure it!
If it's money you're after, I'd have thought either a wedding/function band or a tribute band. Depending who you're a tribute to, you might be able to get away with not being that good.
MB1. Interesting!........ what tribute bands , might a crap bass player be able to get away with?????? -
This is a great store and one of the very few I have any faith in. I bought a Pedaltrain from them some time ago and have been very satisfied. The only downside, if there is one with this store, is that the bass selection is a little limited. They do have some decent second hand stuff as well as some some MarkBass equipment which I've never seen anywhere else. The staff are always helpful and polite and you do get the impression it's an independent family firm so custom is important. If you like acoustic guitars, which I do then upstairs is acoustic guitar heaven with some models from custom builders. I'm not on their payroll but it makes a refreshing change from the indifferent service you get at the likes of Sound Control.
MB1. Yes!...... Are some Basschat Topics & posts getting out of hand?
Just because there has been one or two dodgy threads doesn't mean that the forum has lost "its soul" I think the moderators do a fine job on the whole. There are a whole bunch of artists I can't stand to listen to, much to the point if they come on the radio, I turn it off. But to say I hate them is a bit over the top. The forum will only degenerate if we allow it to, the Mods can't police the place 24/7. Fact if, if there are dodgy posts that you find objectionable, just ignore them. Merry Xmas !
MB1. Last time i turned the radio off!....The beautiful south were on it! I notice your one stat lighter this christmas! All The Best! MB1. -

Whats your one bass that you couldn't live without
MB1 replied to birdy's topic in General Discussion
MB1. Having had a LOT of basses previously, and sworn....." This is the last!".....,i believe, ive settled on my Status Kingbass!. Nothings as powerful, nothing sounds like one,and nothing competes with one(thats only my opinion,)... and.... id recieve death threats(from my band!) should i ever part with it!. I will definately buy another one!....... eventually! (not a bad endorsement of Mr Greens handywork!). -
MB1. Needed a speaker cab cover for my Ampeg SVT 410 HLF. Having been outbid on one on Ebay, i decided to give these guys a try, they advertise on Ebay and provide a 100%+ service. I ordered and paid for the cover on the 10th december and it arrived on the 18th (this morning). The cover is black, padded, heavy duty and fits like a glove, very impressive. Black is the standard cover colour, but you can specify what piping you would prefer(white, yellow, red, blue, green, etc).Cost wise i was charged £46.00 (that includes £6.00 postage) a great price,it would have cost a lot more if id imported from Ampeg. Anyway ,im well chuffed, and the chances of me damaging an expensive cab have been greatly reduced . ROQSOLID also offer a 6 month warranty on all there covers absolutely free when you purchase! (destroy it, damage it ,and theyll replace no questions asked!).SO,anyone interested, these guys will make you a cover for just about anything!.
