  5. [quote name='Bassman7' date='Oct 9 2007, 06:44 AM' post='71398'] Yo, guys, a Flea spec bass isn't £2065, check out the SMART website and you'll see this spec bass is now £1805. Must be the movement in the Dollar/Pound rate during the year that has brought the price down. Apparently, Modulus only run the flake finishes a couple of times during a year 'cos of the long clean-up time this finish causes in the spray shop. SMART say flake finishes are running at a 12 month lead-time! Standard paint jobs apparently are now on 6 months. They say its down to a surge in demand from the US market. Aren't those photos taken from SMART's Flea pages??? Got any of the real bass? MB1. sh*t, thats ED STRAKER!
  6. [quote name='Geddys nose' date='Oct 10 2007, 12:10 PM' post='72099'] Didn't someone on here get a Wal for about 300? you dream about things like that. MB1. £150 Apparently from the cash converter in Bolton ,which he then sold on Ebay for £1500.They now know how much these basses are worth though, so youll be lucky to see any cheap Wals. However sometimes if theyve been pawned ,and the guy doesnt turn up to collect at the end of the month, theyre within there rights to sell it for whatever was borrowed, plus there wedge and if they dont know what the true value of the item is bargains can be had. Very Hit and miss though!...

  17. [quote name='Viajero' date='Oct 9 2007, 04:35 PM' post='71664'] A band name shouldn't be too defining - it's like being called Dennis and finding yourself working as a lion tamer: it might seem a little out of character in the future. So, my advice is to get together with your bandmates and get utterly ruined (using the intoxicant of your choice). Get the banter going, and something will come along. It's worked for me on a couple of occasions. MB1. Dennis and the lion tamers!... it is then!.....Top One! More Tea Vicar?.........

  20. [quote name='jwbassman' date='Oct 9 2007, 12:37 PM' post='71508'] Band names... been there Probably a safe bet that whatever you come up with somebody will disagree... Best advice I can give is imagine the senario... "Hi, so you play in band, which one?" You need to have something you'd be happy to tell people your part of, that you can easily remember and is short and punchy... You could be 'What the Funk' *gets coat... MB1. I do believe my mates Solicitor will be in touch!, what the f***! would be safer!!!
