[quote name='beerdragon' date='Oct 6 2007, 04:16 PM' post='70350'] I'm starting to get a few butterflies at the the moment. we are playing at a local pub tonight and as well as friends and family i know few people from other bands who have a night off are coming plus workmates, i know the guys from other bands come to gigs to scrutanize and maybe criticise. i really should'nt care and i can only do what i can do. still got those nerves though, I'm using a Hartke 400watt head and this cab, so its not as if they wont hear me! [attachment=2660:4200_073...9c1967fe.jpg] MB1. I find a box of senokot and six pints of lager works wonders!.........youll shift some air with that!

[quote name='OutToPlayJazz' date='Sep 5 2007, 09:24 AM' post='55733'] I've backed Bob Monkhouse on three occasions - Very funny man, he was! Also backed Russell Watson on the "Passion of the Tenors" tour with Richard Courtise & Richard Brierbrook. Also played with/for many names on the classical circuit... Evilyen Glennie (deaf percussionist), Oliver Knusson (conducts at proms regularly), etc... We were actually supported by signed band "Twisted Angels" this year as well... Quite odd having the young pretties lapping up our "experience"! MB1. Ive just read Bob Monkhouses auto biography did he do the "thats my drink!"routine to get the musicians off stage? most entertaining book by the way, what was he like to work with?

[quote name='Old Horse Murphy' date='Oct 8 2007, 10:20 AM' post='70936'] I don't know if it's wireless or radio actually. Radio makes me think of Spinal Tap picking up the police frequency while on stage... MB1. The track was living on a sex farm and it was on a u.s airforce base, thanks for reminding me! not as funny as taxi drivers coming through the p.a though!. played in a band and the raven p.a amp the singer had, was a musical instrument in its own right! Very Funny! -

[quote name='Bass_In_Yer_Face' date='Oct 1 2007, 02:59 PM' post='68176'] Looking how puffy he is now (looking like a cabbage patch kid), I think he already has. Fairground by Simply Red is in my top most hated tunes of all time, it makes me angry whenever I hear it, I can't help myself MB1. No Mr Hucknalls always looked like a Cabbage patch Kid,what a son of Mancunia! currently living somewhere in Italy?.
