6.
I'm being asked to help form a new band. Apparently the singer sounds like George Michael. I'm trying to think up a setlist to go with that. Apart from "faith" (pretty obvious) what non-George songs would you suggest? I'd like to be playing more up tempo soul but I'm open to suggestions. MB1. Queen perhaps?(no pun intended!) thought Mr Michael did a good job of "somebody to love".
 7.
They are a great allrounder for a 4 string bass. Maybe not quite the bass extension you need for a 5 string. I guess they have a better midrange than 15s and not the bass wooliness of 10s. MB1. Do like the valve idea, how would this amp compare with a Ampeg SVT?
 8.
Hi I owned one of these beasts years ago.... They can be a touch finky but are damn loud they were introduced by Marshal to take on the ampeg SVT do a good job as well Mine set on fire at a gig .. I thought the crowd were giving me the bass hero bit but they were cheering the amp Great when they work though dont know if I would take one on tour again though. But as stated a mighty tone..... MB1. (+1.... Funny!) Thankyou!, Thankyou,... and for my next bass solo,...."ere mate your amps on fire!".Sorry shouldnt laugh, ill get me coat!

 11.
That's strange, I was in there a fortnight ago and they probably about 5, including some squiers. They had two of those squier jazzes with the fake block inlays, one of them was on a stand in front of the row of Trace amps they have. Must have sold them all. MB1. Unless they hide them when the students come in?..."Are you a student?...here try this spector!.

 14.
I SO didn't need to read that! I missed out on a metal grilled one on Ebay a couple of weeks ago which went for fairly reasonable money because I prevaricated. Oh well, hopefully a pair of Acmes will be coming soon.
MB1. Prevaricated,..... sounds painful!
 15.
No, Napper is running it. Darryll works there MB1. Darryll is in charge of everything bass, john(napper) does the guitar side and is the manager if you wish to split hairs!
 16.
Just want to ask a question. I went Sound Control Salford for the first time today looking to try a couple of US/Japanese Fender Jazzes, but they did not have a single Jazz, not even a Squire. Is this normal for a shop this size? They did have a Yammy BB614 that I was impressed with. Does anyone have one and would you recommend it, or the BB414? OK, so they did seem to have loads of Warwicks (a wall load in fact) but I didn't think everyone planned to spend over £1k on a bass, especially not me, being a 20 year old student. Can someone recommend me any good guitar shops for bass guitars in the northwest as I have no idea, especially ones that have a decent variety of bass guitars MB1. The salford sound control did have some fender jazz basses last time i was in so they must have sold them. The reason they have a wall of warwicks is because there official uk stockists and warwick distribution is on Bridge street, Manchester.Best place for cheap, second hand basses and equipment is JOHNNY ROADHOUSE on oxford road(Plenty of fenders, new and second hand) also try MUSIC GROUND on oxford road not particularly cheap, but plenty of stock.totally up to yourself if you want to go into SOUND CONTROL on oxford rd (they have very little stock,of any interest,Salfords better).JOHNNY ROADHOUSE IS YOUR BEST BET ME THINKS! ASK FOR DANNY!.

 21.
How dare you!! No, funnily enough though, the white one is on it's way to being made metallic amber (like the Studebaker below). Not sure, but it might be just me and Stevie Wonder who likes this colour... I can assure you it was entirely my decision and nothing to do with certain BC'ers saying that white and gold was reminiscent of Spandau Ballet MB1. AY CARAMBA!,Yeah!,you and Stevie Wonder on that colour sir........(and im colour blind!)
 22.
also one of the longest running finishes on the basses.been a lot of colours come and gone but teal still sells I bought 3 in this colour good luck with the sale DJ MB1. Running Finish?
 23.
Napper from the Bass Centre is running Music Ground... or the bass department anyway. MB1. Think youll find Darrell is running the bass side!
