I told him I am willing to drive him somewhere nearby at weekend like Manchester or Sheffield (I live in buxton), so does anyone know of any good deals to be had for £600? I am pretty sure he wants to stick to the Fender route or something similar. Any ideas welcome MB1. Hello there sir! MB1. I have sold items on the for sale forums, and people have left the following feedback.
  13.
I'm not usually a fan of scratchplates but that looks awesome, good luck with the sale MB1. First thing i noticed too!
  14. MB1. There seems to be a control knob missing on one of the pots. What looks like the words" my credit card bills" are reflected in the control plate. So i gather this is cash only and no trades/swaps?.
  15.

MB1. "I d gladly lose me to find you, gladly give up all i got,to find you im gonna run and never stop! Sorry!, wrong bargain! DOH! Did you get yer strings homer?....
  16.
Just thought I'd pop on and say that I had a Vester bass once - Not quite the same as this one, was sort of Jazz shaped, but had the sloping pickup thing a la the Thumb. I have to say that it was an exceptionally well made and very nice sounding bass. Really solid and my band mates complained when I sold it and got a Warwick. I was told/ read somewhere that they were closed down by Fender with a 'Cease and Desist' type order in the 90's for some reason or another, but can't find or supply any evidence to support this - Sorry. So anyway, just thought I'd give a thumbs up to this...er....thumb(copy)...(well, Vester in particular) Cheers, Rich MB1. I had a vester curry once!...................sorry ill get me coat!
  17.
Hi , thanks for the replies, my fingerboard is rosewood rather than the maple type. I have some furniture cream at home which contains beeswax (pure natural beeswax with silk protein furniture polish , enriched with lavender and chamomile essential oils) do you think this will be ok to use to clean my fingerboard on my bass(after all its designed for wooden furniture) MB1. Have heard, if its got silicone in it you shouldnt use it!check its ingredients.
  18.
Too much Lemming Oil is as bad as not enough.... Of course this depends on how muchand where you play. You should have an idea if the board looks dry or grubby, and if it is grubby really you should clean it before you put nice new oil on... Breath on the fingerboard up close and wipe any dead skin/animals/fagends/radioactive fallout off and then apply a light covering of Lemming Oil. Allow to dry and gently buff.... (the fingerboard silly!). If you're worried about the state of the board but dont wantto change the strings, its really not a problem to just undo them at the head end, tidy them so they dont scratch anything and do the job on the neck. IMO folks get a wee bit paranoid about taking strings off..... B.
MB1. Nothing quite like a good twist of Lemming?...............(Lemon oil ,the smell kinda gives it away really)
  19.
I recall Koch produced a range of bass amps and cabs back in the 90s but for the life of me I've never seen one in the flesh or for sale, anyone any further info. I'm aware that Dolf Koch produced the Sadowsky amp but it's specifically his own brand I was wondering about, nothing on the website other than the guitar stuff. MB1. Youve Never seen a koch in the flesh?...........never seen koch for sale?.......looking for secondhand koch?......Im still laughing now!,that could have been part of the problem, not a great name for sales purposes.why didnt he call it dolfin amps and cabs, surely theyre marketing guys must have known?.Finbarr Saunders would have had a field day with this!.Fnarr Fnarr!
  20.
Maybe I can use it when we play Ballads "So true, funny how it seems...." MB1. OH NO!,NOT THE SPANDS!
