MB1. Over the years I've had several Alembics They are exquisite superbly well built basses and I've never had any problems with finish, electrics or any other issues for that matter. I've never bought a new one as good examples do come up occasionally, However due to the quality of workmanship and bespoke service they offer they are reassuringly expensive...and rightly so. Check out there website some of there creations are veritable works of art.
  14. MB1. Seasons Greetings! Splitting Combos is usually a practice carried out on bigger Combos. The 5.15 is a usable little combo but its always been an awkward carry due to the handle positioning and cabinet size. One came up for sale on here just recently with trolley wheels which would make things easier for you perhaps you could also fit side handles to it too!. I can't really see the point of splitting the 5.15 up to be honest. not when there's alternatives?Roland perhaps? Line 6? Ibanez?Markbass? The Ashdown will have little or no resale value should you decide to do so! Just a thought!.

  16. ='Oldman' If I hadn't just taken delivery of my "Tony" (in black) and a Godin (in black) and also got my refurbished Streamer (in black) back, I would have definitely been in the frame for this beauty. But, at the distinct possibility of joining the ranks of GAS Eunuchs I have to pass. Good luck with the sale, I could'nt even hide in plain site, there's no room! MB1. Hey Oldman This ones Onyx (Posh Black!) ha ha! Hope you've had a Good Christmas!
