  1. Bu**er! Jazz neck width! Really nice looking bass. Good luck with the sale. Neil
  2. Not so sure its in excellent condition as there is a bad mark on the back acknowledged as rubbed by a button!! Might not have any knocks etc but it would stop me buying a jetglo for £1K with that on it. Bit of an attitude about the price, especially as the listed basses were desireable colours in really good nick! Both of the recent MG's went for £900-930 I wouldn't rate this as high IMO. Neil
  3. Looking for a 70's one of these but way out of the budget I have seen UK dealers sell them for! I wonder why its never been used? N

  7. Thanks chaps. Looks like its not going to be as expensive as I thought it was going to be!! King Tut: appreciate the sound link. Cheers Neil
  8. Thanks guys. Steve, no you haven't confused matters, the most comfortable Precision I tried was a 70's, the width was great, I didn't like the new model I tried a little later. Didn't notice the thickness so much as I was comparing directly with T'bird neck at the time, so it just felt bigger!! Soulfinger, thanks, big difference in the prices. Is the 57 worth the extra? I can afford it if it is worth it. Cheers Neil
  9. Can anyone advise me on the type of Precision Bass to look out for? I prefer a very wide and chunky necked bass. Tried Jazz & T'bird but find the necks way too thin, tried a couple of Precisions and a 4003 and they felt much better. I presume I am looking for one that has a neck with a width of 1.75in at the nut? Any help with the best model to look out for would be appreciated. I realise trying out is best but it will help narrow down the serach and wasted travel. Cheers Neil
