1. Cheers Joe this will be fitted into my Schecter
2. Now withdrawn
3. I use 45-100 with 125 B string on my R.H.Jazz ...and a lighter 40-100 with 125 taperwound B on my Yamaha BB 2005 as it has a nice slap tone. Voted for 40-100
4. My Yamaha a BB2005 ,
5. I have 2x10's and i must admit it does make me nervous when i do need to stack them end to end,due to lack of space. the cabs are also rounded, reducing the area, not a good design in that respect. I think the 2x12 being deeper and heavier would be better tho'
6. Great news Dave...good luck, and hope it works out for you...sounds like it will Ady
7.
I know , I know. The chances are slim but I'm gunna bump it anyway
I know its all down to personal preference soundwise..but i had the bubinga and Maple top 5 string versions at the same time,so was able to compare head to head at gigs, and for me the maple top had the better cut through the mix sound ...with those particular basses anyway. Ady

10. I had a medium strap that was also too long for me,..if you loop the leather pin part of the strap back thru the 2nd link(top horn end of strap)and out it shortens the strap quite a bit,..worth a try if you cant get a shorter one...it worked for me.
11. MM Stingray 20th anniversary 5 string....big sound, big sustain, but also a bit weighty, which is probally because of the mahogany tone block, which i think does make a big difference.
12. Pm's replied...and still for sale Bump
13.
I wouldnt mind trying a 6 string version of my TRB 5 P11 just to see what the difference in tone is like. I like the look of the Babinga wood bass guitars.
This is one i had...fantastic bass, great neck and easy to play..it was the weight that beat me in the end,Ady
14. Having a clear out of gear i dont use anymore and on the list is this Ashdown Evo 11 head, that for the last couple years has been my back-up amp. I think its about 8 years old,and i have owned it for 6 years, the covering is in undamaged condition and its in good working order. The only thing i can find is the l.e.d indicator for the tuner mute switch on/off does not work.also comes with an Ashdown soft cover I dont like posting amps,so this will preferably be collection only. Looking for £160 NOW SOLD Ady
15.
After doing just one gig i think in going to take the DR's off and put XL's back on. My bass felt too difference last night, and although it was a pretty crappy stage and very bright room i felt the DR's are just not for me. I think ill sell them and buy some more XL's.
Same for me too! ..i fitted an orange set a couple of weeks ago,to my 5 string jazz and found i did not like the sound or feel of them at all..i have done 2 gigs and 3 rehearsals to give them a chance, but they are coming off and being replaced with my usual elixir nanoweb. i also found them a bit overpowering to look at when playing under lights with this big 5 string band of orange glaring at you.found myself making even more mistakes than normal still its good to try other strings.
16. The red looks very striking...so thats my vote
17. Mmm nice looking bass...would look good with my band's Paisley shirts, but might clash tho'.. Have a CLOUDY BUMP!
18. I have not played this model bass, but price wise one sold recently on ebay for around £250..
19. Very nice bass,..i had an early one, sold it to someone in the States, one of only a few basses i really regret selling, great sound i have no amp/cab,for trade but would be interested a cash price,if you can PM me.
20. Bass 1 for finger style and slap, but slightly prefered the soloed bridge pup on Bass 2 So Bass 1 would be my choice
21. Sad news,my first bass guitar hero gone R.I.P
22. Hi All, I am selling this near mint condition Musicman bass..it has a great 4 band eq,then there is 7 pickup combinations in active and passive mode, making 14 tone variations...at a push of a button. I have used it for function band gigs and rehearsals, and it is a remarkably versatile bass...its in the same perfect condition as when i bought it,also the case is unmarked,as i used a spare case for gigs .It weighs 10,1/4lbs and balances very nicely. This was my main gigging bass until around 6 months after buying it i joined a 60's tribute band, and they prefer the look of my jazz bass,so the MM has been made redundant for the time being. I see Thomann have these up for around £3200,so you can get youself this one for under half new price Price now reduced to £1500 but open to sensible offers Sorry not looking for trades, I am near Woking or can post if needed. Now Sold via the Ebay Ady
