  1. Lovely MG. By all accounts Fodera don't supply chestnut in their builds any more. Never seen it in a tone block before. If I had a spare 7k I would. Glwts.
  2. Phil bought my USA lakand 55-64. I already really miss the bass but I know she is in good hands. Excellent guy to talk to and a very relaxed transaction. I can vouch for Phil being an excellent buyer and wouldn't hesitate to deal with again. Thanks alot 👍
  3. Beautiful build. What is the fretboard timber? Not wedge. Got a video of this one? Lovely bass. Good luck with sale.
  4. Hi folks, I'm offering this gorgeous 5 string USA Lakland 55-64 up for sale again. I had this up for sale some time ago but kept it. Up on well know auction site but I thought I'd see if I get any better interest on here. This bass was known as the Bob Glaub model and now 55-64 "Vintage P". I think this is a 2016 model. Here are the specs; 35" scale Alder body Fiesta Red finish Tort pickguard 1 piece maple neck satin finish Rosewood board Birdseye maple dot inlays Hipshot ultralight tuners Passive tone controls Lindy pickup Strung with TI Flats Weight 4.4kg Condition is excellent. One tiny dink on the headstock. One tiny check in the lacquer near the jack as pictured. Plays and sounds like butter. This is the best bass I've ever owned but my priorities in life are elsewhere at the moment. I'm sure i will regret selling this for sure. Long waiting list and about £4000 to buy a new one of these. Comes with its plush lined Lakland hardcase. Sale will include a pretty much brand new Neotech Megastrap. Price is £1950 ono. We can discuss me delivering to you in person/half way if I'm anywhere near your location at the time. I'd much prefer collection if possible. I live very close to Silverstone. Any questions or comments welcome. No trades so please don't ask! Thanks alot, Pete
  5. Bloody lovely bass. Are there any sound clips of this one out there? Sadowsky pre...so does that mean with the vintage tone control? What's the nut width? Thanks!
  6. Yep. Very similar scenario. I knew it would be a good buy up to a certain point but was reluctant to go up past 2k for a bass essentially sight unseen. I've seen a D5 go on here for £1500. Of course that was when I didn't have the scratch 😃.
  7. Yeah it may have done. I'll ask him...
  8. Yep. Came out about £1900 Inc fees. I didn't want to go any further than that. It's always the afterthought...just another £50 would have got it...but that can go on and on with auctions. It's all over very quickly too. Yeah you can view anything you want or order a brochure of the listings you are interested in.
  9. Just wondering if anyone who frequents here bought the Rob Allen Deep 5 that was at Gardiner Houlgate guitar auction yesterday? I bid but narrowly missed out unfortunately. Been after one of these for years. Looked like a stunning example of Robs earlier work. https://auctions.gardinerhoulgate.co.uk/catalogue/lot/389324ab6e54094a567416f87148478c/63b778f7668dabe928d3800924a99077/the-guitar-auction-online-only-two-day-sale-includi-lot-313/
  10. That's a great looking bass. Any sound examples of the Delano pickups compares to the Barts? Cheers!
  11. That really is stunning. Good luck selling mate. ❤
  12. ***£1900*** until 18:00 Thursday 10th September then being withdrawn.
  13. Took a bit of a break from bumping this ad but this lovely bass is still available and open to offers. No trades. Thanks!
  14. Nice combination of elements to this bass. Do you have any audio available of it in action? What are the wood specs? Thanks!
  15. Regarding string spacing this bass will be 17.5mm. Good luck with the sale!
  16. Can I ask why new pickups and electronics? Still AC parts? What difference does that make compared to the originals? Thanks!
  17. That look like a killer bass! I love Laklands. Particularly the USA builds. Top notch basses.
  18. If you are a six player who can handle the spacing this is one hell of a bass for the money. GLWTS
  19. What's the wood spec Mark? Mahogany body? It has to be said this bass is not like the 'standard' you buy from Fodera today. Aside from the obvious differences in pickups and electronics, yours has a three piece maple neck with angled headstock as opposed to the one piece neck and string tree approach on the later ones. I'm a fan of the neck heal cut away on this bass too. Not sure why fodera neglected that touch on the recent bolt-on's. It's a lovely bass and a great price. Really tempting!
  20. Beauty! 60's pickup position? Any audio clips of this bass? Thanks!
  21. Sorry to keep you waiting mate! Yep still here. I've PM'd you.
  22. Any audio clips of this in action? Lovely unique instrument.
