  1. Excellent condition, with a Gator Gigbag, also in great condition.

These are fantastic hybrid heads, with loads of useful features. I can't fault it, just fancy trying a TH500 with my new cabs.

    PRICE DROP £300

Located in Manchester, but happy to post mainland UK for a tenner.

  2. I did try a Downtown Express and was underwhelmed. It was pretty low gain too, as someone mentioned.

I ended up getting a GK Plex, which is one hell of a unit. Absolutely perfect for what I need.

Cheers for all the opinions and recommendations!

any chance you can let me have the dimensions on this please so I can get a courier quote? In Devon so bit far to collect, kicking myself for missing one of these that came up in Somerset earlier this year

No problem, Chris - I'll measure the box when I get in later.

The humble Zoom B3 can yield a few surprisingly decent 80s synth sounds if you mess around with it I've found. This is a patch I use for Whitney's I Wanna Dance With Somebody and anything else that sounds DX7-esque...

It's not the greatest for quick-ish runs as the demo shows towards the end, but the tracking is fine for the most part if you watch your technique and keep your lines steady. That patch could probably use a little octave but I'm maxed out at three slots on the B3...time to look at an MS-60B I think!

Gone back to this and picked up a B3n from dannybuoy - time to do some serious fiddling!

seriously check out the Future Impact. I programmed a convincing “Ain’t Nobody” patch for it last year (though I may tweak it with the new software). I’m pretty sure I could get close to the WH track too if I haven’t already.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that if you need the extra speed/accuracy of keys, you can simply plug in a cheap MIDI keyboard into the FI and play the line on keys and even switch seamlessly between it and bass mid-song.

    This is intriguing...

Could this be answer as it is in budget?

I think probably a bit of overkill for what I'm after, but cheers anyway!
