  1. Very, very cool. Glwts
  2. I use a 200W Gnome with a matching 4Ohm 12" cab for monitoring sometimes. It's very capable. This will probably be more capable still. Add to that its portability and price and this will make somebody very happy. Glwts
  3. This looks fairly nuts and quite brilliant! Glwts
  4. Sounds brilliant in the BTW demo! Well-featured too, with the HPF, Scoop and Grit. Separate footswitches for the latter two would be even better but their absence wouldn't be a game-changer for me. I suspect I'll end up getting one of these even though I definitely don't need it 🙄
  5. Love these! Glwts
  6. The BB is a great pedal, largely badly represented in online demos. Glwts
  7. Ridiculously good and an absolute bargain! Glwts
  8. On my small board I use a Plethora X3 for modulation/octave/tuner with a Two Notes Revolt for EQ and OD, and an Ampeg Opto Comp. Appreciate this is not a true multi-fx solution, but the hybrid of 3-channel tube pre and multi-fx means lots of flexibility with minimal menu scrolling and more stomping. I don't get along with the Hypergravity on the Plethora, hence the separate comp; if you did then that's just two pedals. Both the Revolt and Plethora come with their respective power supplies. You also have aux in, phones and DI out on the Revolt.
  9. It's criminal! In the meantime, 500 Squiers have sold, for more money. Fashion is a cruel mistress.
  10. Great PSU and expandable with the X4 or X8 if needed. Glwts
  11. Great little amps. Same old story - shouldn't have sold mine...🙄 Glwts
  12. So, the Opto Comp arrived and has had a few outings. I really like it - does exactly what I want it to, seems robust and is very quiet. At this stage, seems like a bargain. The simple white colourway also fits with the other two pedals on my small board which is very satisfying 😁
  13. I use one of these and I think they're outstanding. Laney should have a huge following. The Nexus amps were great (I owned an SLS for a while but changed up following an obsession with 'lighter is better' 🙄), the RBs are great (I have an RB3 at home) and now the new effects (got a Blackheath on my big board too) are killing it. And all of these at sensible price points. Props to Laney - great gear!
  14. Good work!
  15. A brilliant tool this - have used one for years for no-amp gigs, including a recent Turkey trip where gear was hired in so I could just confidently bring this (and just in hand luggage). Highly recommended! Glwts
  16. Insane bargain! I'll bet this is a fine bass - the upgrades alone are worth a few quid! If I was looking for a long-scale fiver I'd bite your arm off. Glwts
  17. Really useful - thanks!
  18. Cheers all. I've actually ordered a discounted Ampeg Opto Comp as figured there's little to lose and it seems to review quite well. If it turns out to be pants I think the Alma 2 will be calling!
  19. What is it about the Boss that's been so convincing?
  20. Many thanks. I've read reviews from various sites - just wondering if there's BC real world experience ABing them, or indeed comparing with other competitors.
