Hiwatt offers Fane speakers as a Custom option in their high end cabinets, at extra cost. What is the REAL sound/quality difference? Are we payng just to have the "made in England" tag? Any experince will be appreciated!! Thanks.

For sale a pair of original Guild humbucking pickups, taken from an mid 90s USA-made Guild Starfire II bass. The pickups were reworked by Mr Curtis Novak in 2014, to make them closer to his current Darkstars. Fantastic and very rare pickups. I don't know what they were like when they came out of the factory, but they sound amazing now. 1 Novak Darkstar pickups costs 275 USD. Grab these for less than that. Price is 200 pounds - 230 EUR

Beautiful instrument here. A Guild Starfire II bass made in Westerly, USA, somewhere in the 90s, before Guild was sold to Fender. Not to be mistaken with modern reissues, made somewhere in Asia in much bigger quantities. Not many of these were produced, hand made, and very few of them made in the natural flamed maple finish, like this one. The original Bisonic pickups were swapped by the legendary Darkstars made by Curtis Novak. The bass sounds beautiful, big and sweet, and plays like a dream. Really, a gem of a bass, paradise for semi hollow body lovers. You will not see many like this one in Europe. Or in the UK ( ). The Starfire is a short scale bass (30"), very skinny and fast neck. Comes with original Guild case, case key, bridge adjustment hex-key and case candy. Price is 1700 Euros.

Good morning. After a few requests for sound samples, I think it's easier to share it here. Here's a short video, recorded directly with my cheap mobile phone, flat EQ on the amp and very old strings. Despite that, in my opinion, it sounds timeless, just like a fender jazz bass should sound. By the way, it also feels fantastic. This jazz bass will stop someone from ever buying another. Hope this helps. jazz74.mp4
