Cor, gotta love an Aerodyne. Must resist.

I’ve gone back and forth between guitar and bass many times over the years. I get bored or scunnered with guitar mostly, and switch to bass. I tend to prefer completely different styles of music on each instrument, even between electric and acoustic guitar. Once I just stuck my guitar under the bed for a year, I was so bored with the whole thing.
I hope you will find some satisfaction in whichever instrument catches your fancy.

Nah, got to be two more of the red ones. I don't know why, though.

I read that and went What the...? But as described it sounds awesome.
How does it know where it is? Are there tracking wheels so it knows (like reverse stepper motors)? How do you position it in the right place on the workpiece? Do you begin with a datum point on the body somewhere and go from there? Or three datum points to define the plane? So many questions!!
It looks like you apply tape strips with dot codes printed on them to the workpiece. It looks like it uses them to navigate. I think it requires a diagram uploaded to the device, or maybe streamed to it. Extraordinary thing!

Wow, that sounds great! Not in the guitar related video, obvs..

Very good! It looks like you’ve applied a gloss clear coat. What did you use, may I ask?

I had the guitar version of this. They are really good, and I recommend these units! Very easy to edit on the fly. GLWTS.

Thanks very much for the article quoted above, very useful.
I have used Liberon finishing oil extensively, and have learned much along the way. I refinished a Tacoma acoustic guitar with the dreaded finish rash, where the poly coat actually detached from the body.
I put the Liberon oil on in about twenty coats, but did not wait long enough between coats. The finish was sticky, and remains so on the neck, even after about three years.
I used it to refinish a Jazz Bass neck, applying three very thin coats. It was perfect.

John Peel used to champion the composer Basil Kirchin, who made extensive use of birdsong in his work. Might be worth a listen.
