  1. Brandoni has/had a TON of stuff from Eko. One of the most playable guitar necks I ever experienced was on an old Eko jumbo. It had the unusual and reviled zero fret.
  2. Good work! And perhaps an improvement in appearance!
  3. That’s one way of getting the seventies sound..
  4. Very nice indeed! I wish I got on with the necks on these. What does it weigh, my good man?
  5. You’re right, I haven’t! But I do feel a strong affinity with Scousers. Plus, I live in the Home Counties, for my sins.
  6. One of my great sadness’s about living in England is that folk don’t understand many Scottish expressions. I have to speak VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY. And I’m definitely a lot swearier that most English people I know.
  7. I do like the half-sucked sweetie look of the thin rounded edges. Must be hard to get it consistent all the way round. Does he use CNC?
  8. Good work! Thanks for taking the plunge. I’m going to try that.
  9. Ah, it looks like you’ve got a Sterling, the kind that used to be called a Sub Ray 4, but is now called a Sterling Stingray 4. Just to confuse matters. I have one of these basses, and I’ve also been looking for a replacement bridge. There are near copies of the real Stingray bridge on eBay. I got one for about twelve quid, and found that it looks better, but the string spacing is too narrow, by about 3mm at the bridge. The build quality is about the same. I attach a photo of a similar one, but with Sterling logo. I am going to try drilling or filing out the stud holes, so that I can use the wider spaced saddles from the original (as in your photo). Some folks have tried the Badass II bridge, with good results. Hope this helps!
  10. Is it the more recent MM bridge, or the older style with the studs?
