I make scratch plates for my Tele mule from thin polystyrene sheet off of eBay. In the style of early Fender plates made from Garolite, with no bevel, just softly rounded so as not to catch my delicate little paws. It is very easy shape with Stanley blades and fine abrasive papers. The only problem is its flexibility, which means screw holes have to be big enough to avoid imposing flex forces. Plus it picks up a lot of gunk from fingers. Ease of working is important for me in the absence of workspace and tools.

Perhaps the Sterling shape would suit a short scale better. To me, Mustangs etc look like toys.

Brandoni has/had a TON of stuff from Eko. One of the most playable guitar necks I ever experienced was on an old Eko jumbo. It had the unusual and reviled zero fret.

You’re right, I haven’t! But I do feel a strong affinity with Scousers. Plus, I live in the Home Counties, for my sins.

One of my great sadness’s about living in England is that folk don’t understand many Scottish expressions. I have to speak VERY SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY. And I’m definitely a lot swearier that most English people I know.

I do like the half-sucked sweetie look of the thin rounded edges. Must be hard to get it consistent all the way round. Does he use CNC?
