  1. I've got a CMD 102P, which is pretty much all I need, but I think I might be more of a man if i had an extension cab
  2. Are you likely to be in the Cotswolds again anytime soon?
  3. No we don’t! That would be wrong, and who would do such a thing??
  4. Very handsome bass. Can you tell us the weight, and the nut width? Ta.
  5. You're right, I am a die hard Dan fan. I would get on well with Danny, I expect. Nice playing from him too, btw. You guys wouldn't be Scots, by any chance? I seem to remember that BJ Cole was something of an experimenter with MIDI and so on. I think he made an album of MIDI stuff. This would be about 1990.
  6. That edging strip looks good. There's a guy on YouTube who shows how to use narrow velcro to attach speaker cloth to a baffle. I think that is a method you could adapt.
  7. A good way to sort this out is to play plugged into a very accurate tuner, preferably with a large display I find. Then try each note on each string up and down the fretboard, and see where to position the relevant digit to get the accurate pitch. This really helps me to train my ear. My fingertips differ slightly in softness and width, so each requires a slightly different approach, in my experience.
  8. Does it have a length-ways slit? I can't tell from the pic. How about those black plastic folder spines from WH Smith, that you use to hold a sheaf of papers together?? Do they still make them?
  9. Ah. What about wrapping the edges with gaffa, and then stretching the fabric over the edges. I think I remember doing something like this ages ago. Worked pretty good, but it needs to be neat.
  10. You could consider stretching a dense weave cloth over the existing metal grille.
  11. Glad you know where my handle comes from! You're quite right, Neal Schon DID play SOTW on the album. I wonder if the Playhouse band was the same line up that played at Green's Playhouse, with Earth Wind and Fire? That was a COSMIC night, that was! The joint was jumping. There was nothing like a Green's audience. BTW, have you ever thought of having a stab at east St Louis Toodle-Oo? That would be very cool too. I also saw Poco at Green's: Rusty Young was playing pedal steel through a Leslie cabinet, and it sounded wonderful. Have you heard that sound?
  12. Jeebus, good stuff.
  13. Jings! Very stylish, very shiny!
  14. Bart mark ones are fine! Ignore the naysayers!
  15. NOT Rolex! Tolex! Stupid spellcheck.
  16. Try Solsound on eBay. Tons and tons of Rolex, casters, grille cloth, etc etc.
  17. It is in fact a Big Al in its larval stage.
  18. Gawd bless ya, guv. PM incoming.
  19. Yah, I was going to mention that one above. It looks like it’s going backward in time, or something.
  20. You mean the Fodera?😀
