  3. the rcf's are built like tanks the mackie srm450v2 on the other hand have been the mose problematic and temprimental tops we have ever owned.one of them mackie had longer than us after 3 failed attempts at fixing it we got a new one.now we are thinking of going back to a passive set up
  4. we use yamaha n12 4x rcf 718 5x mackie srm 450v2 (2 foh and 2 as monitors and drummer uses 1 for his roland td-30 kv pro) overkill i think so

  6. have you given any thought to marshalls vba400? i loved mine but it it was heavy.now im happy with the streamliner
  7. awesome rig.shame im not a youngster anymore ive had to take the light weight route.but my vba used to sound class
  8. turn the bass down on the streamliner i have the bass knob set at 10 o'clock and there's still plenty of low end
  9. i tried the steve harris flats and didnt like them at all. i couldnt get used to the tension that the strings were under

  12. the way we did it was we all payed the same amount for the f o h but if one of us leaves the other 3 will buy his share off him at current second hand prices as we have all taken the money from the gigs we have already done anyway
  13. i stack my focus 2x10 cabs verticaly
  14. love my streamliner infact i cant stop grinning when its just the bass and drums during a song
  15. try it with another cab and check your leads ect
  16. my worst was when i plugged my bass into the tuner jack.i spent the first song trouble shooting checking all my speaker leads ect before it finally dawned on me duh
  17. we tend to mix it all up with stuff from the 60's right through to todays music.cover all your bases and keep the punters happy
  18. i think ed has a review of the fender on youtube.if your doing old school rock the fender would be right up your street.but it might be a bit of a one trick pony
  19. i have 2x210 focus cabs and i'm very happy with them they sit really well with the streamliner
  20. i played my first gig with the streamliner and ended up with the bass at 10 o'clock and mids at 600 boosted to 2 o'clock and treble cut to 10 o'clock and it sounded awesome.got a fair few compliments on the sound.im one happy bunny now
  21. got mine today only tried it at living room volumes but its a far better sound than my peavey max450

  23. just jeans and t-shirt for pub gigs and jeans and a shirt for weddings/functions
  24. everyone of my basses sport battle scars from playing in tiny little pubs theres one pub out by appleby cumbria i forgot its name.but its so small the only way we could do the gig was to leave half the pa in the car and to stack the guitar amp ontop of my bass combo.we never went back
