Ibanez SR 1805 what do you guys reckon?
Bear in mind that's wenge you're looking at; it's a pretty open grained wood so you might be seeing flash reflecting off one of the striations but for the money you'd have to pay it does need further inspection.
^ This. Looks to be the open grain of wenge to me. If anyone is willing to take the trip that could be one hell of a bargain. -

I used to have one of these and they are indeed incredibly heavy. Alright sounding but huge neck on them. -

Favourite female bassists.... Go!

D'Arcy Wretzky, i used to have such a soft spot for her but oh how the mighty have fallen. There's your "don't do drugs kids" advert right there. -
I wouldn't say the neck was that unusual standard early 90s energy. The odd thing is the pickup mod that has been done. http://www.statii.com/status_cats/adverts/energy_nov_1991/energy_advert_nov_1991.jpg

If the pup's are duncan designed rather than actual duncans, which would link in with the Lic. trem, then its a Dinky. Depending on condition price is about right. If the pup's are Duncans then the bridge should be an original Rose, both in the Soloist model of that era if that's the case its probably a good buy at that price. Best bet is play it see if you like it. The neck might be a big difference from the L59. L59's go for anywhere from 150-250 depending on condition/colour/upgrades etc. They might do a swap if your lucky.

http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/page14_jp.php?cat_id=2&series_id=32&data_id=63&color=CL01#.U8VGMZRdWyo Not sure over 2 grand for a 34-35.5" fan is the best price, isn't that in afterburner territory? At least one of the big name brands is starting to embrace fan frets though.

I like the tag line on his profile "I am honest, professional and reliable.", seems like something an honest professional and reliable person would say.
Here's my current configuration, it will stay like this at least fir this summer's gigs.
Sorry for being either ignorant or just plain blind but what do you use for power distribution? -
Lots of issues of both Digital Photo and Olive Magazine probably 2 years worth of both at least will try and sort to get a better idea and dates to give an idea. Collection from Salford Quays or could post small numbers for postage cost.

I should probably add that i wasn't actually questioning if its genuine or not. I just don't know enough about them and thought it was odd to have 1p starting bid with no reserve, or maybe not worth as much as i expected.
Shish kebab. Serial number 0008, Fender '52 P. I imagine BC's Rick would be up for that if he could sell a kidney ....
Did the P serials start from 0001? I know the first 100 or so Strats had serials starting 0100 in '54. -

Now £600 It is with great regret that i am having to put this up for sale/trade but my back just cant cope with it any more, even though i'm only 25, even more gutted because i just love the tone that comes from it. I have had a good scout over and the only flaws i can see are some very light scuffs (buckle rash?) on the back barely visible due to the fantastic wood figuring and the scrapes around the truss rod cover where a previous owner has obviously had difficulty removing it. Excuse the poor photos only taken on my phone in a bit of a hurry can try and get some better ones if anyone needs any. If anyone is interested you are more than welcome to come and have a look/play (based in Salford Quays). Currently has an old set of 45-130 elixirs that i have put back on but still some life left in them. Dunlop straplocks will be replace with standard strapbuttons prior to sale. I think they are warwicks version of strap locks but the bass arrived to me without the straplocking part. Its a fanned fret bass supposedly called SRFF 4505, don't think there is any official word from Ibanez yet. Odd if its going to happen though, would expect them to do a FF guitar first? https://twitter.com/ikebegakki/status/472341046836211712

Cheers for the advice people. Pretty much seems the same as I told him. Gunna have to spend a lot more for something great. But thanks for the suggested options I will let him know. The budget is pretty no moveable due to him being a student and buying two 7s this year. I don't see floppyness being an issue I dropped my .145 to Ab last night on 34" and it wasn't the worst thing ever. Completely off topic but has anyone seen the image going round of the Ibanez Fanned Fret?
