    ive decided to sell my tokai rockinbetter, the band dont like it, ( I Do) it has been rewired to original Rick spec using quality cts pots, and a genuine Rick three way switch, also ive made my own pick guardian for it, but will put in the original pick up cover, fitted with original strings, and comes with a set of TI flats, Also has Rickenbacker TRC, and the original Rockinbetter one so the choice is yours, Immaculate condition, there are no issues with this bass, all the problems have been sorted, with the replacement of the cts pots and three way switch.     Ive decided to sell my BP80 effects pedal, ive hardly used it, bit complicated for me, i like the simple things in life. £40 inc postage, includes box , charger and manual. OR trade for a badass bridge or a gotoh bridge for a precision (5 hole) Product: DigiTech BP-80 Ease of Use : 10 I have tried alot of pedals out there, (and i mean alot) and there aren't many like this one the ease of use. Making effects it as easy as possible just a click of the edit button and thats its you can change the entire sound of your bass, that is - if you want it to sound like a bass! Also having presets is a great idea, saves you have to change between songs - or during! The by-pass function is another amazing idea, change to your standard sound with one foot. Sound Quality : 10 Starting with me setup: - Peavey 5-string Cirrus - Behringer 1200 (great amp at a such a low price) - Digitech BP80 (just put it on because i don't have a big setup) All i can say is perfect! No joke! No feed back! And greatest of all no hiss at all! The noise gate is an excellent function. Reliability : 10 Been 6 months and i'm still standing! So as relieable as they come. Customer Support : No Opinion Haven't need any help due to it's perfect build quility. Overall Rating : 10 This pedal is a must have! Whatever style oh music you play. Even if you've said you don't need one, get this it blows your musical mind! All the things you could put there in this song, what would sound great in this intro. If this pedal was stolen i would never buy a different one. There would be an order for another one the very next day! Compared to the Zoom 607II(???) This pedal is legend and the zoom is just not worth it, even without comparing it to anything else that pedal (Zoom) is bad! - after all i own it too! BUY THIS PEDAL! BUY IT!!! - Trust me

    Well shes up and running and im happy playing around with it and i just hope the rest of the band like it. Ive just fitted my homemade pickguardian, total cost £3.80 and a bit of time

On the rick replicas I've put together I've gone for the normal pickup rule of thumb: single coil will get a 250k pot and numbucker will get a 500k to help balance the pickup tone better.     [quote name='mrcrow' post='543579' date='Jul 17 2009, 08:48 PM']ricks fit 250 and so do fender but i go along with the brighter idea...but do use 250 myself i like a more traditional and mellow tone cheers[/quote] Ricks actually fit 330k pots as standard, but i have noticed that it depends on certain models, this one quoted is for the vintage tone circuit, ive never known rickenbacker to use 250k across the board, its always been 250k volume and 500k tone, this is 1979 onwards, before that i dont know, im sure someone on here could clarify it, i dont want to open a debate about it though, I could be wrong, At the end of the day this bass, isnt a rick, its my first attempt at customising the electrics to try and create a better sound and to repair the piss poor wiring from the korean factorys, I think ive made a half decent job using quality components, and to be truthfully honest sounds alot better than it did from the factory, all it needs now is some decent pups throwing in her. I dont want to upset people in the process, i would rather share my experience, if i had put this on a rick forum there would be millions of bricks coming through my computer monitor thanks for all advice in advance tony

    just following the diagram from joeys bass notes, and other rickenbacker diagrams, tone pots are 500k and volume pots are 250k, although ive rewired it the rickenbacker way, i still dont have much tone adjustment, so im pressuming the stock rockinbetter pups are s***
