  1. Do you know what the costs are to get to the UK? Would this be subject to tax and import duties?
  2. Drop to £1700. And have heard that the original neck is nearly finished, and a deal can be done with both.
  3. No the one that was on it was trashed with black spray. But they are easy to pick up.
  4. Thanks, yes it is a real beast. Epic tone and sustain is crazy.
  5. Hi all. This is my musicman stingray, 3eq. Think it's 2005. Was originally a burgundy colour and resprayed in orange. I had the body fully stripped and refinished in a satin to look like the dart, scratch plate holes filled. All the electronics were reworked and serviced using genuine parts. Red graphite status neck added. All done by my guitar tech. We all know how rare these necks are becoming and this is the only red one I've seen. Looks black most of the time until it catches the light then it's a deep burgundy colour. It hasn't been used at all since the work was done and I find that while it is the exact sound I want, the nut spacing and pickup set back it doesn't suit my playing style. I love to have my hand right up at the neck. I have loads of pics of the work in progress and how it looked before it was stripped. I won't split the body and neck so please don't ask me to. I do not have a hard case so ideally it's collected. But if you want to sort a hardcase I can look into shipping it.
  6. These are the dogs bollox.
  7. Did the same on my stingray body. So much better than gloss.
  8. I think you have string spacing wrong. Wither that or it would be a bitch to play
  9. These are great basses, super light and sound unbelievable
  10. Didn't this have a fretless neck on it when I saw it Dan?
  11. Thanks @Beedster i agree that it is an unbelievable neck that is worthy of the best players. I would add that this body and bridge seems to give incredible sustain and the John east and dimarzio combo also adds so much variation.
  12. The neck also has an additional fret position which is a cool detail.
  13. What a beauty. I wish I had the talent to do this justice. Bass candy at its finest
  14. Indeed, I utilised the stingray neck and gave this the neck of its dreams. With also a much better pocket fit.
  15. I'm sure I'll be the same when this sells. I just wish I had the time and skill to own such a beast of a bass.
  16. Up for sale is my ultimate build bass. Allparts licensed alder body in Olympic white. Status graphite unlined fretless neck. John East J-Retro preamp in black. Babicz full-contact bridge In black. Dimarzio DP123 pups. Hipshot ultralite tuners. Ghs compression wound strings brand new. The body is mint and has no dings or scratches. The neck shows light string marks but does not affect the playing. This thing sounds incredible and the sustain is beyond anything I have ever owned. The build idea was to be able to get the pino growl which the fretboard and strings in combination achieve in bucket fulls. The John east gives tonnes of options. I honestly think its the best sounding fretless I've ever had. The problem I have with it is my sloppy intonation from lack of practice time and struggling with the p bass nut width. The strings spacing at the nut just feels a bit wide for my fingers. So as much as it pains me I will be buying a lined fretless and letting this go. The thing looks so damn cool I'm tempted to keep it but someone needs to play it like it deserves. It really does feel like a pro bass and the sound is something that would get even pino himself chubbed up. I would prefer collection as I do not have a case for it. But buying cases etc can be agreed with buyer. More pics to follow.
  17. Hi skelf, do you remember what the body is made from? I'm guessing that's a solid piece of body wood to be 10.4lbs?
