1. I think when they first came out they were something like $600!!
2.
This was a large part of my reasoning as well. Nothing like as professional as Mr Phillips fine bodgery. I only used 1 pen, and I was very pissed when I did it. Also my handwriting is shocking at the best of times. Like this....
But is that a genuine Dave bass......
3. Why not go onto Talkbass and ask over there. They will keep you right! I`ve done the same myself as have a good few others on here. The only problem with doing it is if somebody further down the line, tries to pass it off as a genuine Fender. But it`s your bass and if it makes you like the bass more, go for it.
4. Sad news indeed but no mention of it on tv or even radio 2 this morning.
5. Ta for the photo`s. I`m, assuming they were filming it for a dvd?
6. Sold some cables to Lee. Great to deal with, no messing about. Ta!
7. I think that it is Yamaha basses in general. Just after xmas I picked up an almost mint RBX 374 for £150. I was gonna use it as a back up for giggin but it is really good. Comftorable, not to heavy, I really like the neck, good range of sounds and it has the top of the pickups cut out in a thumb shape. I am thinking of using it as my main squeeze and using the P or Tbird as a backup.
8. The worst thing about this thread is I am now gassing for a Mustang of some description! But lack of cash means no more additions to the family.
9.
I missed out on tickets, gutted. I would have loved to see them back together again. I hope there's going to be a DVD out of this.
Yes. The show at Wembley on Sun 17th March will be filmed for a DVD/Blue Ray release in September. I will be getting that one for sure.
10.
Given that he was a great big hard-as-nails macho type, I wonder why he chose a Mustang rather than a man's bass (i.e. a Precision). Now running for cover ...
Cause he`s a shortar*e? Joins HJ in running for cover
11. I`m pretty sure it is the same bass but it is painted. I`m going to a have a search about.
12.
Excellent, look forward to hearing the story!
OOPSY WHOOPSY!! Can`t find it. I had it somewhere. From what I remember, he had fitted the humbucker pickup to it and his son was using it in whatever band he was in but with the FF tour on the go he maust have blagged it back. Enjoy the gig, should be a corker.
13. I`ve got it somewhere in a mag Donny. Will look it out.
14. As soon as paypal decide to give me the funds that have been placed in my paypal account for several items I have sold on here (something to do with being a new memeber of pp-bulls*it if you ask me), I shall be sending the 20 quid over to yourselves. Even if you don`t intened selling anything, it is worth it! In case I have missed it, how do you donate the money? Is it just through the donate button as normal? Forget the last statement. Ped answered the question as I was typing.
15. Try 911 tabs. It sort of pulls all the other tab sites together. Full of bloomin adverts though. Not that I use tabs myself. I am a musical genius don`t ya know
16. Thank god your still here Bob. We have been so worried!
17. Unless this thread is something to do with the recent upgrades to the site and you, Kevinwebcreation me lado, are something to do with said upgrades? Right, where`s me carrotts for guessing this?
18. I owned an SRX 700 in the past that I got off one of the guys on here. Good bass, powerful pickups, 2 band EQ, neck through and a bit of a heavy bugger if I remember right. Never heard of the 690 but Ibanez have had so many different models out.
19.
i love music
We are all very pleased for you but you do realise that this is for stuff for sale don`t ya?
20. Ta for that clip ET. Never heard of them before (though I have played in a few band`s with some right fanny`s in them) Going down to the studio for a bit of a blast this afternoon and after reading this topic the P bass might make an apperance....
21. I have a rather large songbook of acdc songs. The book was purchased in 2003 and was 30 bloomin quid! It has the chords, tabs, all that squigily notation/clefts and lyrics of 85 songs. It is slightly larger than A4 and is about 2 inches thick and quite heavy. It is perfect if your son or daughter is an dc fan and is wanting to learn how to play the music. I would prefer collection as it`s a heavy bugger but may be able to post for which you will pick up the cost And if you take it off me, no selling it on Flea bay or Gumtree!!! Gone, no longer available, vamooshed, up the chimney, split.......

Hello
There's a joke here somewhere, but against all expectations I'm not going to make it.
Aw come on, don`t disapoint us!! You have a reputation to maintain. Hello Seaweed. Welcome to the friendly bass forum.
23. The P bass for me is a strange instrument. I have bought far too many over the years but I get bored with them quickly and move them on. But then I get GAS for one and end up splashing the cash for another P. I think it`s a good bass to have as you just plug it in and the sound is there, no messing about. So I have come to the conclusion, I will always have one kicking about to keep GAS at bay, even a cheapie.
