1.
It is, but I'm getting to the point where I just can't play for two hours with anything heavier!
Considering I play a Sr300, one of the lightest basses you will find, on gigs and in the studio, I should really keep my mouth shut!
2.
14lb...! Mine's 8. Thank God!
I`m 99% sure that is what it weighed. I weighed it after I let a guy play it when he was buying an amp from me and he commented on it. It was the best sounding P I have ever owned mabye due to the weight. I tried to look back on the for sale post but I had deleted all the info! It came from Bassix to me then Andy67 then....? 8lb`s? Thats a big girls blouse weight! The Squier is a good looking bass and well worth a second hand punt.
3. Flippin heck! 24 posts and not one "Adam Clayton is crap!" post. Most unusual. (I like u2 by the way)
4. Nice playing. Is that Mickey Moody with the skip hat on?
5. I had a Squier one. No routing under the gaurd and mine had an Kent Armstrong pickup, Wilkinson tuners and bridge. The previous owner had upgraded it and it sounded nice. I liked the neck on it as I do on most Squiers, nowhere near as chunky as the Fender version which is like a C neck profile I think. And nice and light unlike the 14lb of the Fender.
6. I would say you have got a bargain there as people are playing on the fact they have been discontinued (I seem to remember) and are asking stupid money for them.
7. Here you go. Don`t know how accurate it is. http://tabs.ultimate...titute_btab.htm Runs and ducks for cover for posting a bass tab
8. I gigged a VMJ for about a year with no problems what so ever and I liked it and so did the fussy b*strd guitarist. A lot of people change out the pickups but I liked the sound from the Dunc des ones fine. They are perfectly gigable instruments and having owned several US Fenders, for my situation at least, the Squier did the biz and I may get another in the future when the cash is available.
9.
I opened the link and had to retrieve my jaw from the floor - that PB70-US/ASH is gorgeous. It'd go very nicely with my own PB70-US that I have in black.
Gotta agree Dood. This is the bass that prompted me to post the link.
10. Here is a link to the Fender Japan site. Most of it is in Japanese of course but it`s a good look for all you Fender heads out there. http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/pb70-usash.html
11.
That's me
As a persistent Gumtree muso section trawler, I thought I saw your ad looking for a drummer H. Get anyone decent / sane?
12. I wouldn`t worry about it too much. There seems to be a shortage of bass players in the Glasgow area. Unfortunatley, there is also a glut of numpties looking to form bands in the Glasgow area!! Stick an advert in Gumtree and they will come running too you............
I would like this, but would need it posted
Sorry man, pick up drop off only. This is now on hold pending collection. Ta!

I have a Thrustmaster Ferrari GT Experiance steering wheel and foot pedal thing that can be used with either a ps3 or a computer. It`s in great condition and the only reason for wanting shot of it is my son got himself a better/more expensive one. It only cost around £30 and is a fairly large box so I don`t really want to go to the bother of posting. You can collect from me or I could possibly drop it off somewhere local. If any of you "boy racers" want it, drop me a pm. ***ON HOLD**
15. Can`t tell you what it is but at that price you seem to have a wee bargain there.
16.
What are QC's?
Queens Counsel. Very highly paid, heavy duty lawyer dudes I think?
17. Good shout. Will be watching that. Is that an Ibby SRX she is playing with some foam dampening at the bridge? Just shows ya what you can do with a "metal" bass

This will end up in one of those topics down the line... Does anybody know what happened to .....? He`s not been on for a while and I hope he`s ok. Or mabye not.

"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!" I should really finish off those lyrics one day. Might make a few bob.
20. That`s a lot of bad luck for the one band. I think I would go for option 3 and see how things turn out with your drummer pal. I would take the time to explain the sitiuation fully to your other band mates (something I imagine you would do anyway) and move on.
21.
Looks like it will be awful to play and sound terrible, are we sure its not a real gibbo
Cruel Pete but it cheered me up!
22. I have just clocked that Guitarguitar have a US special P bass in candy apple red with maple neck with ahardcase, s/h for £549
23.
You should keep a digital recorder with you at all times and record your posts before you forget them. Don't forget to keep it by your bed in case you dream a post during the night!
That happened to me YESTERDAY. I`ll get me dirty mac..........
24.
The band I just left regularly did 3 hour slots. Just think we didn't have the heart to stop and tell people to sod off once we'd got them dancing!
I agree with this. We used to do say 75mins then 20 min break then rock out till we had to stop. So, go on about 9 then play through to 12.30am ish. A good tip is to take along an i pod with some tunes on it so that you can play it before going on and during your break just to keep things moving along. And get a 1x15 or 2x10 which will be more than ample for most pubs.
