Precision Factory special run, can't see any comments?
jezzaboy replied to karlfer's topic in General Discussion
I think that it`s going to be another "marmite bass." You will either love it or hate it. I`m sure if you don`t like it, you would get shot of it no probs. Famous last words -

I always used my Trib in passive mode except near the end of gigs to show the guitarist who was the boss!

Here is a Yamaha I got in a trade recently from Andy. It`s in great condition with just a very small ding on the bottom of the bass which cannot be seen from the front of course. Other than that, not a mark on it. You know what people say about these basses on here, there is plenty of posts about them. Price is £220 collected or would meet up if not too far. Don`t really want to post but if it needs to be it will be another £15ish. Someone missed a bloomin bargain!

jezzaboy replied to jackers's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Someone bought a second hand bog standard Mex P for £550????? You can buy a brand new one for £450. And as for the £150 case, how much do you think he would get for it second hand? And £45 postage??? And it`s not new it`s bloomin second hand!!!! You bought if from the shop and took it home!!! Ergo, second hand / used. Or have we been down that discussion before -
Classic line up of Status Quo to reform
jezzaboy replied to PaulWarning's topic in General Discussion
Any of the older Quo fans who liked only the original line up, should check out the Heavy Traffic album which is as good as any of the 70`s albums, which were written and recorded when Rossi and Parfitt were off their t*ts by their own admisson. Jez -
I suggest you save that guy on ebay. He take a guitar and (if you pardon the expression) makes luthier love to them. He restores them and sets them up perfect. Plus, they are all so cheap!
Eh, I think you will find that quite a few knowlagable folk on here think otherwise Jez
It's buy it now Deb, but I really can't afford a new bass yet!
There is no such saying on this forum! Jez
as I recall, Lancaster got sacked for refusing to play apartheid south Africa. are they now admitting he was right? bit like matlock getting sacked from the pistols for liking the Beatles then getting welcomed back when there was a few quid to be made, imho
He was sacked/agreed to leave with a 6 figure payout as him and Rossi no longer agreed on the song choices. Lancaster hated doing all the non rocky stuff that Rossi quite liked doing and was succesfull in the charts. Also the fact that he had moved to Australia didn`t help matters. If you watch the rocking all over the world video, you will see that Lancaster is a puppet as he wouldn`t come back to film the video. He wasn`t best pleased!! Big Quo fan here and I think that this is bad move. To be fair, I have never seen the original line up but looking at performances from the original line up compared to todays, I much prefer the now version. However, I realise that I may be in the minority here and I hope that it`s just for 1 album and tour. From what I read, Lancaster isn`t in the best of health so who knows what will happen. Jez -
Rhino form "THE QUO!" uses Markbass and if that ain`t rock, then frankly, I don`t know what is. Jez
Bah ha ha ha. There's a real irony in that while these instruments are become more valuable the older and less damage they have, Damien Hirst is probably one of the few people in the world who could add value by defacing it.
Defacating it? Jings, the sh*te some people will buy nowerdays. Right ho, off for my appointment with Specsavers now. Jez
