  1. I seem to remember trying to get DPD to deliver a bass for me but they refused saying it was too large. Which is strange as they seem to do okay delivering basses from Andertons and Guitarguitar but then again they are giving them loads of work. I drove a truck for Hermes for 1 week. Please do not send anything with this company. You will thank me.
  2. That neck is nice and I imagine you will be able to shift it no problem for a good price. It might be worth sticking it on here as it is when you can get a price and if it doesn`t work out, offer to part it out. It may be of no use but I sold a standard one of these last year for £250 on here. I recently saw it for sale again on the local Gumtree and it went for the same price. Just to add that the 54 was a cracking bass the way it came from the shop.
  3. I would love to hear their explanation of how the bass ended up getting sold. I think the only people who can solve this mystery are these folks. Unfortunately I think they were cancelled several years ago....
  4. If you get a US model you have a decent choice but The Kiliton and the M2000 have a slimmer neck. And there may be a minty M2000 Tribute up for sale soon...
  5. There are loads of different P pickups at various prices. Good budget ones are Wilkinson, Entwistle or Tonerider. If your tone knob is doing nothing, a new wiring loom from @KiOgon of this forum would do the bass a world of good. Great products and value. Lawsuit models are a bit of a myth from back when certain Japanese/Asian makers were asked to stop doing direct copies of Fenders and Gibsons. But I don`t know anything about Richwood, maybe a UK importer who bought some Asian copies?
  6. Looks nice. Always fancied an acoustic for messing around with. On a slightly related note, the Thomann site now shows the price you pay which saves all that messing about with additional payments for vat etc. All our prices quoted on our online store contain both VAT and customs - so you will not incur any additional costs after the purchase. For returns or exchanges, simply request a return on your customer log in centre (Return Product) or you can send an email to [email protected]. You will then be able to print the return slip yourself and send it to our designated UK address for returns and exchanges.
  7. Been listening to a load of Colin Hay from Men at work since the first lockdown and over the last few weeks he has been posting MAW`s catalogue that he recorded with his newer version of the band. Some really good stuff and they are a great band.
  8. NOW SOLD Sennheiser HD 599 for sale only. Got as a present but I prefer my AT headphones so they have only been used a couple of times so in very good condition. Will post to UK mainland only for £40 but will knock off the postage if you can collect from me. No trades thanks.
  9. SOLD Fender Player P bass in the classic black and maple finish. Very good condition, Tonerider pickup, one of Kiogon`s solderless looms fitted so easy to swap the pickup, Gotoh Japan bridge, tort guard, original white one included. I don`t have the original bridge or pickup. Weight is 3.8 kg or 8.3 lb`s. Collection from Paisley or localish meet up preferred and I will knock off the postage or I will post UK mainland only for £490. Please note if you req postage I won`t be able to ship until Friday the 2nd onwards.
  10. I`m beginning to think that it`s me that UPS don`t like....
  11. A few years back, I sold an amp to a guy from the Cumbernauld area who played in a Free tribute band called Tons of slobs. Always thought that was a cool twist on the album name. I seem to remember he played a Stingray 5 fretless, not an EB in sight!
  12. I like how it says in the advert "Frets have been sanded to a "fretless wonder" style so it plays with a nice low action." In other words gubbed!
  13. I wouldn`t get too excited about them using UPS. Ordered a pedal from Thomann on Sunday, got a shipping conformation on Monday saying UPS were collecting. Since then I have had 2 updates that say "Your parcel was cleared after the scheduled transport departure. We will reschedule for the next available departure. Frankfurt, Germany" This happened on the 23 rd and again today. If I could have bought the pedal here I would have. Thomann used to be so good you could set your watch by them but not now.
  14. I have the 715 and on the 2 occasions I manged to use it I was happy with it. I bought s/h MXR bass di to use through it and it`s got sod all output (not sure if it`s working right as the output is very low) compared to the ART Mic pre I was using before as a di with a pedal in front of it. But you are right, it`s rather a large box. I have a Sadowsky SP B1 di pre amp coming next week from Thomann for £134 delivered so I will try that into the 715 and then it will be: bass - tuner - Sadowsky - RCF
  15. Looks great in that colour mate. Give me a shout when your are moving it on!
  16. I recently bought a Squier affinity P bass for £200 and the fret work was better than a recent Yamaha purchase in that I had to get the edges of the frets on the Yamaha dressed. Call me crazy but when you are spending £500 on a bass, things like the frets should be spot on.
  17. Those 4 tw*ts called The Beatles that ripped off the Real Kings of Merseybeat, The Rutles
  18. Sorry I can`t show it as the dog ate it. Or was that my homework?
  19. So, this is the wrong night to put my Pensa Jazz up for sale in the forum is it?
  20. I have used APC through OverlandExpress with good results, usually around £30 for UK to UK insured. But check the hard case re the insurance as some specify it must be in a hard case wrapped in cardboard. Nice bass by the way.
  21. @dub_junkie is looking for one of these in the wanted section.
  22. Just noticed when putting it in it`s box, there is a small crack in the laquer at the neck pocket. Because of this the price is now £110 delivered.
  23. NOW SOLD Here is a 2 piece alder Northwest guitar P body. Finished in a natural finish for your John Deacon project! Fitted with a tort pickguard and a hi mass bridge both from NW guitars. Please note, there was another bridge fitted and there is a couple of holes under the bridge so no good if you are looking to fit a BBOT bridge but as you can see, they are not seen with the type of bridge fitted here. The body is in vgc just one small mark on the edge under the tone control knob which can`t be seen from the front and I can see one very small ding on the rear of the body near the bottom. The weight is 2.5 kg or 5.5 lb`s. The neck pocket is the correct size for a Fender neck and I had a Nate Mendel Mexican neck fitted and it was a perfect fit. The neck pocket is listed below. I`m looking for £120 posted in the UK, if you want to collect from me in Paisley I will knock off the postage. Material: 2-piece alder Body thickness: 44mm (1 3/4") Neck pocket width: 62mm (2 7/16") Neck pocket depth: 17mm (43/74") Control cavity depth: 38.5mm (1 33/64") Pickup cavity depth: 17mm (43/64") Finish: Polyurethane
  24. I agree with this point 100%! Or do I disagree with this point 100%?
