  1. I have used Award Session Cleartone cables for years and never had a problem. Custom made for you in a few days. https://www.award-session.com/cleartone_cables.php
  2. Lightweight, gigable and £200 is a bit ambitious. An Ashdown MAG 300 combo is a decent shout second hand.
  3. I always found it quite sad that the Shads couldn`t allow Jet to play a tune or two with them when they did their farewell gigs with Cliff. But after reading Cliff`s biography, it seems that the Shads can be quite a stubborn group of guys. The guy was a leading light at the time and his playing is right up there for me. It`s quite sad how he ended up.
  4. Right, I will return later.....
  5. Spot on, mud usually sticks. Are Ashdowns still catching fire?
  6. You not helping ya know!
  7. A brand new HB P bass neck. Never used as I wanted only the body for a project and it was cheaper to buy the bass. Comes with the tuners, could do with some smoothing down of the fret edges. The £10 is to cover the postage, paypal f & f. If someone wants it, I will post it sometime next week.
  8. There was a natural one in Bassdirect and I was on the fence about buying it. Got the ok from the good lady and .....it was gone to someone else. You snooze, you loose.
  9. Mike bought some headphones from me. All was good and smooth, a top man! Thanks
  10. On a related note, I ordered my HB P bass on Saturday the 27th and it`s not being delivered until Wednesday the 7th due to customs and all that. A bit different to before when it would take about 4 days from being shipped to being delivered.
  11. Bought some pickups from Chris. Really nice piece of kit and fast delivery. As above, buy with confidence! Thanks Gerry
  12. Tim bought some gear from me. Top man to deal with, the type of guy that this site is all about. He actually left feedback for me before Royal Mail delivered the items, lets hope he hasn`t been too hasty!
  13. All this Harley talk, I have went and ordered a PB 20, the cheaper one. I had some paypal cash so thought I would get something to wreck, I mean practice my modification skills on.
  14. NOW SOLD Here is a G & L 4 string bass bridge for sale. First the bad bit. The bass should have a small allen bolt on the lower edge of the bridge but the thread is gubbed. I have tried the correct size of allen bolt but it only goes in so far. I can supply the proper size of bolt along with the nylon plug if you have the skill to re cut the thread. The good bit. The bridge is like new and is a great design. It has a large foot on the bottom that you sink into the body of the bass. To buy a new one from G & L is $80 plus $50 postage / import taxes. This would suit someone who is a bit of a builder and needs a cool looking bridge for a good price. I don`t have the mounting screws as the new one I managed to buy in the UK didn`t supply screws so I had to use the original ones. Looking for £35 posted to UK
  15. Spot on. I was going to return some bits and pieces that they delivered in January after tell me that I wouldn`t be getting them. You have to fill in some kind of customs declaration and I don`t think you can claim back the vat? It was too much hassle so make sure before placing an order that you really want it.
  16. If it is under £135 in total, which includes vat and the shipping cost, then Thomman will take the payment and sort it out the vat themselves. I know this as I bought a cheap P bass and it works out to £63 for the bass £8 for delivery £13.93 vat A total of £83.60 If it`s over that £135 in total, you will pay the price on the site and UPS will charge you the vat and a fee. I`m not sure how UPS bill you the vat and fees as I haven`t bought anything above the £135 threshold.
  17. Me and Tricky did a deal. It was good Nuff said
  18. SOLD One of John`s exc wiring looms. I bought it recently for a project but am not going to go ahead with it so it`s got to go. Spec: VVT CTS 1/4" shafts, Old School cap and Switchcraft Jack - on side As with all of John`s work, this is a great piece of kit. If you buy this and need any advice, just get in contact with him and he will sort you out. The price is £30 posted 2nd class to the UK.
  19. Just bought some Jazz pickups from Sean. Nice piece of kit and good price, all round good egg! Thanks Gerry
  20. Sold Stu a pedal board. Nice and easy transaction. Thanks Gerry
  21. Repeat offender here! Just got 2 cracking looms form John and they are a lovely piece of work. Thanks
  22. Hermes delivered a hearing aid to my father in law recently. Well when I say delivered to him, they delivered it somewhere. He stays in a 15 storey high flat with 6 flats on each landing, a total of 90 separate dwellings. He also stays on the 15th floor and due to covid regs, only 1 person is allowed in the lift or 2 if they are family so the lifts can take ages to arrive. They have a picture of the box outside a white door but guess what, all the flats doors are white and identical! Who knows what flat he left it outside, it could have been one of the other 3 identical buildings he just happened to be delivering to. Needless to say the dispute is carrying on...
