I tend to agree with you but at least any profit from the sale of his model went to charity. What made me laugh was for a good bit of his career he played loads of different basses!

Fender USA VMOD jazz pick ups SOLD

Well there is a US one with a different body shape and a skinny neck in the classifieds....
-
The price seems ok for a US Jazz if it`s a nice one. Re the price when new. I remember 11 years ago or so a Mex Standard P bass was £320 with a gig bag and if you sold it on now, it would be in the £350 range so it`s all relative.

Bought a finger rest from Mark. Nice bit of kit, just what I was looking for. Thanks!

Sold Chris a Sire and as above, a top man to deal with! Thanks

I would agree with Chris here. These 2 albums from 1970 are their most "accessible" being the Dead doing country rock ish. The thing with the GD is there are a few different versions of the band. Psychedelic RnR in the late 60`s, country rock in the early 70`s and a big mix until 95 and the end. There are loads of live stuff on YT, some of it great some of it iffy. I only really like them from 71 to 74 when they only had one drummer instead of two and I can`t stand the endless jams that they are famous for. Sacrilege to some Deadheads I know but there you go. Live is where they really shine, I own about 20 of their live albums (mostly 3 and 4 disc per album) and only 3 studio albums. I can highly recommend "Hundred year hall" from Germany in 72 as a personal favourite. But there is so much good stuff out there so dive in and find out what you like the best.

I have used Award Session Cleartone cables for years and never had a problem. Custom made for you in a few days. https://www.award-session.com/cleartone_cables.php

Lightweight, gigable and £200 is a bit ambitious. An Ashdown MAG 300 combo is a decent shout second hand.

I always found it quite sad that the Shads couldn`t allow Jet to play a tune or two with them when they did their farewell gigs with Cliff. But after reading Cliff`s biography, it seems that the Shads can be quite a stubborn group of guys. The guy was a leading light at the time and his playing is right up there for me. It`s quite sad how he ended up.

Right, I will return later.....
-
Spot on, mud usually sticks. Are Ashdowns still catching fire?

You not helping ya know!

There was a natural one in Bassdirect and I was on the fence about buying it. Got the ok from the good lady and .....it was gone to someone else. You snooze, you loose.

Mike bought some headphones from me. All was good and smooth, a top man! Thanks

Any important duty on goods from Europe?
jezzaboy replied to tonyclaret's topic in General Discussion
On a related note, I ordered my HB P bass on Saturday the 27th and it`s not being delivered until Wednesday the 7th due to customs and all that. A bit different to before when it would take about 4 days from being shipped to being delivered. -
Bought some pickups from Chris. Really nice piece of kit and fast delivery. As above, buy with confidence! Thanks Gerry
