  2. The last of my "short scale folly" as my wife calls it Picked this up last year locally in a bit of a state. The youngster who bought it and lost interest in it, had covered it in stickers that were a right pain to get off. The resulting residue was unsightly and I attacked it with a green pad. It removed all the gloss and left it the way it is now. I did intend to paint it but I never got round to it. ****Please note: if you are looking for a pristine example of a Bronco, buy one from a shop**** I have replaced the tuners with Japanese Gotoh`s, stuck in an Artec humbucker attached to one of Kiogon`s wiring looms, put on a home made thumb rest, painted the scratch plate black and fitted a BBOT bridge which works out ok re string spacing. Due to the pickup and K`s wiring loom, it`s sounds really decent. It`s as light as a feather and is an ideal mod platform for someone with the time and skill. I put about £80 worth of parts plus the price of the bass into this so I reckon the price is fair. £110 collected from Paisley observing the usual or £125 posted to the UK mainland. I might have the original bridge and pickup somewhere so if I can find them, you can have them. Actual weight is 3.2 kg or just over 7 lb`s. Just played it again to check it over. Just to say that the pickup is a guitar humbucker (the original is a guitar single coil version) and the tone control doesn`t really do much. This was through headphones, there may be more of a noticeable difference through an amp.
  3. Just bought a Zoom pedal from Chris. Great condition, fast postage and he kindly threw in a few Basschat straplocks. Thanks!
  4. Did a small deal with Steve. Fast payment and easy deal. Thanks!
  5. I have used APC via Overland express after someone on here recommended them. They have done around 10 or so deliveries for me over the last year and apart form a 2 delay recently - 1 day due to weather and the driver ran out of time the second day - they have been good. And give them their due, they made sure the delayed delivery was done am on the second day. Its around the £30 mark for insured delivery in the UK. How comprehensive the insurance is I don`t know as I have never had to claim but have a look and see if it suits you.
  6. Deke bought my Squier bass from me. Fast payment and quick reply`s to pm`s, the bass was bought and delivered to Glasgow within about 90 mins! Good to chat with you D, I hope this is the first of many deals on here.
  7. Guys thanks for the kind words but She`s gone baby!
  8. Now available again. Fitted with a high mass bridge that looks rather smart. Pic to follow.

  10. Sold my Sandberg shortie to Mike. He was a total dude even when the delivery was delayed for 2 days when the courier let me down. So deal in confidence with the man, just don`t mention a certain bass shop and you will get along fine
  11. SOLD Totally as new, never been out the wrapper, same as this one. £22 posted to UK mainland. Paypal f&f. Ta
  12. Good man! Starting a Madness tribute by any chance?
  13. To be honest, if I had spent as much time actually practicing the bass as I have buying, selling and being on here, I would be almost as good as Pino! That`s Pino Jaconelli the local ice cream man.
  14. NOW SOLD Squier Paranormal Jazz Bass for sale only, no trades thanks. This is a bit of a Marmite bass, you either love the look or don`t. It is in exc condition and is totally standard. Usually when I buy a Squier, I end up changing something but this is a great bass as it is. It`s a popular body with an ash veneer, you can see the grain of the ash through the paint. The neck is a lovely gloss finish, not sticky like some but nice and smooth. This is made in China unlike the CV`s which are made in Indonesia and is very well constructed and finished. Check out Lobsters video below. It weighs 4.3 kg or just under 9.5 lb`s. Collected price is £250 and I will post to UK mainland only for £265. I have taken a few photos without the pickgaurd just to show you what it looks like "naked!" Bear in mind that there are a couple of paint chips around the screw holes if you decide to leave the pickgaurd off.

  17. All the best Stingrays were made in China don`t ya know!
  18. Thats true that. I`m in a small cupboard and with the laptop using the wireless signal I was getting about 50 mpbs. The modem is in my son`s room so I had to run quite a long cable to the laptop but now I get around 210 to 220. It cost about £80 for the cable and trunking to hide it but it was worth it.
  19. I like that a lot. The headstock has always put me off but that little bit of re shaping has made a big difference.
  20. They better be, my mate has just sent them his Ric to sell!
  21. They should change it to read "never has been in stock yet" Thats the most annoying thing about their web shop, you have to go into the actual listing just to find out it aint in stock. But you are correct, they have bugger all in stock at the moment.
  22. The previous one was a black 434 with the terrible cream scratch plate but that was 2018 I think. The last one was a black 734 in 2020 but I didn`t give it much of a chance on reflection. It won`t be here till Saturday. I have shipped a few out the door recently so it about time something came in.
  23. Thats me back in the club. Just got a BB 434, sunburst, rosewood from GG. The itch had to be scratched!
  24. Chris bought an amp form me. Quick payment and exc communication, all round good guy to deal with. Ta Gerry
