Spot on there Mister Vibes. If I was going down the Fender route, a s/h US Standard and stick in a East pre amp or a Elite model would be a much better bet. The Ultra`s spec has been downgraded from the Elite which makes no sense.

Having sold a few bits and pieces recently and still on bloomin furlough, I have decided to buy one of these. £120 from Amazon??? Nah dont think so. Got one with a UK power supply from Thomman for £79. This will give me something to mess about with.

Being locked up with a gaggle of musicians for a few weeks is my idea of Hell! And no I have never been on tour with a band. -
I can only echo the above as Jim just bought a pedal from me as well!

Your intrigued? I`m astonished as I owned the sold 1024 twice and it took me a while to sell it both times! (Well 99% sure it`s my old one) Just a case of the right bass at the right time and the right price for someone. But the 734 is all that the 1024 was and so much more. imo of course.

Need help identyfying what this Fender P bass is.
jezzaboy replied to JamesFlashG's topic in Bass Guitars
Every Jap Fender I have owned said either made in Japan or crafted in Japan where the neck meets the body. I don`t see any signs of a logo there so either the neck is re finished or it`s a US model. Bit strange not having any serial numbers though. -

Does the TC run off of a power bank like T REX fuel tank, 9 volts? I see they don`t supply one with it.

NOW SOLD Another one up for grabs. A as new Mustang Classic Vibe in Olympic white. I was going to keep this as a gig back up but who knows when a gig is gonna happen. I have fitted a new set of D`addario nickle medium scale strings 50 to 105 gauge so nowt floppy going on here. The tuning pegs were updated to a set of Kluson classic tuners as the original ones were made of cheese! Weight is 3.2 kg or 7 lb`s. I`m asking £260 delivered mainland UK only, bank transfer or PP f/f or if you want to collect it we can work something out and drop the price a bit. I think the price is fair as the strings were £20 and the tuners £40. No trades thanks. I will get some pics of the actual bass up tomorrow. Bit of a derail but since Lalo has been mentioned, the music in Bullitt is fantastic, some great playing on there.

I remember checking out some stuff about Sky after watching Herbie F and it was a bit of a sad end for Kevin, someone with so much talent.

I`m a Deadhead and they were well known for having 2 drummers except from late 71 ish to late 74. Thats really the only period of Dead music I like apart form 2 studio albums made in 70 which had 2 drummers. Same with the Allmans Brothers who I was a fan of for years until the drums did my head in. They seem to fill all the space, one usually playing straight the other adding all these needless fills. Now Showaddywaddy, that I can can go for...
