  1. This bass is definitely a keeper!
  2. They are from a 1100s but I`m pretty sure they came fitted to other models. You can still buy this style today for £20 each.
  3. A set of Yamaha tuners from a 90`s made in Tiawan BB bass. They work fine but have some signs of 20 + years use. Comes with bushes and screws. £30 posted to mainland UK (they are quite heavy) or if you can collect I will knock off the postage cost. Bank transfer or paypal friends and family.
  4. Here we have a 2019 Squier Affinity P/J in torino red. I picked this up just before the lock down started. The previous owner was a bit of a brand snob and he put on a Fender logo, it looks ok but you can tell it`s a transfer. Personally I would have left on the Squier logo. I have fitted a hi mass bridge, put in a Mexican P bass pickup, stuck in one of Kiogon`s excellent wiring looms and I have dressed the fret edges so everything is nice and smooth. The bass plays really nice and especially the P pickup on it`s own. The bass weighs 4.3 kg or 9.5 lb`s. it is in great condition and the only things worthy of note is there are 2 very small paint cracks on the front of the bass. One is from the pickgaurd screw between the A and D string to the edge of the Jazz pickup and the other is from the pickgaurd screw below this and it runs for 20 mm. These are very minor and I can`t even get a photo of them but the last 2 pictures are of the area they are in. You can only spot them if you tilt the bass into the light.
  5. Just bought this recently for home practice plugged into my headphones but am going to buy a small practice amp with headphone and mp3 input so this won`t be needed. It`s a cracking piece of kit but wasted on me. It`s only about 6 weeks old and is in as new condition with the original box and paperwork. The cheapest I can see is Thomman at £68 posted so £45 posted seems fair. UK mainland only, bank transfer or paypal friends and family. **SOLD pending the usual** 65 Internal effects 9 Amp simulations Up to five effects can be used simultaneously and in any order Looper with a length of up to 30 seconds / 64 beats in CD quality Guitar Lab software for creating, editing and managing effects and patches 68 Internal rhythm patterns 50 Memory locations Swap function for easy patch management Automatic storage of all patch parameters Integrated chromatic tuner Auxiliary input jack Output jacks for connection to the amplifier or headphones Backlit LCD with contrast adjustment Lightweight and compact for transportation inside a gig bag Easy integration with existing pedal boards Running time up to 18 hours USB port for firmware updates, power supply and connection to Guitar Lab Controls: Bass, Mid, Treble, Volume Pushbuttons: Rhythm, 5 effect slots, Looper, Setting, Memory Switches: Effect Up, Effect Down LED: Effect On Foot switch: Looper, Tuner Input and output: 6.3 mm jack Mains adapter connection USB AUX In Power consumption: 500 mA Runs on 4x AA batteries or power supply with a 9 V DC mains adapter (not included, suitable optional mains adapter: Article number 105835) Dimensions (W x D x H): 156 x 130 x 42 mm Weight: 340 g
  6. The best "cheap" P bass pickup for me is a Tonerider. They are British but make the pickups in China, supposedly they were the pickups used in the original Classic vibe basses? Anyway, I have them in a NMendel P bass with one of John`s wiring kit and it sounds great. £35 delivered.
  7. The mains power is a bit of a pain and if you buy one from Thomman it comes with a Euro plug and an adapter for UK use. It works fine though. It`s not a problem for me as I use a 9V mains lead, one for my Zoom pedal and one for the Art. I just run a 3 way gang socket with a long lead and just try and tuck it out of the way.
  8. I have an Art Mic Preamp that I stick at the end before going into a RCF 715 powered speaker. It has a valve in it but how much difference that makes I`m not sure. It`s one of these. https://www.thomann.de/gb/art_tube_mp.htm
  9. Just sold another Tribute to Keir. I`m starting to make a habit of this! Top bloke and great guy to deal with!
  10. To be fair I think that clip is from Live at Abbey rd from 7 or 8 years ago. The live stuff from The book of souls tour from 2016 ish was superb.
  11. I bought a set of his sig strings a few years back. Not only did the E string break at the tuning peg when I removed them to oil the board but they are by far and above the most expensive crap strings I have ever bought.
  12. The HB is showing available in 2 - 5 days. I was going to get one a while back and it vanished. Whats your opinion on the HB Cetera?
  13. Just sold a bass to Mark and can only echo the points above. I would have no problems dealing with him again. Ta!
  14. I would trust Ashdown more than any other company to put things right, they have been great with me when it wasn`t even their fault that the amp went wrong. Get it back to them and let them sort it. You will soon be back in love
  15. I have used Overland Express for my last 3 deliveries and I have sent them from Paisley to various English places. Unlike most couriers, they have real insurance (some say they insure instruments and then in the small print they don`t) and for £27.50 I got next day delivery and really good tracking through APC. The bass was insured up to the value of £1000. One of the guys on here put me onto them and I haven`t had any problems so far.
  16. Roy bought a power supply from me. No problems whatsoever and good gut to deal with.
  17. Just completed a deal with Paul and it was easy peasy. Well except for parcelfarce being up to their usual tricks! Wouldn`t hesitate to do a deal with Paul in the future.
  18. We havent played since our singers farewell gig last September and I hate to admit it but I haven`t really missed it. We have a new singer in place and were due to play the Hard rock in Glasgow in April but I knew it wasn`t going to happen when all this kicked off. Being furloughed, I have actually missed being at work more than not gigging which is a bit weird.
  19. I don`t think he will make another P clone or anything else as the man sadly passed on a few years ago.
  20. Sold pending the usual!
  21. Just sold a Jazz body to Stefan, no problems whatsoever and seems like a decent guy. Thanks
  22. Just measured the size of the neck at the first fret and it`s round about 25mm from top of the board to the back of the neck. I would say the neck feels between a Jazz and a P bass in my hand.
  23. I have owned the other 2 you mention but can`t really remember them being deep front to back but I will dig the bass out, take a measurement and a photo and get back to you.
