  1. For home use I use a small mixer into an Alto 10 inch powered speaker. Does the job fine for bass at home volumes. It is supposed to be 150 watts but as I live in a flat, I have never really gave it some serious welly. I think it was £90 from Guitaguitar. A budget option that works for me.
  2. I`m going to be the party pooper here. I can`t stand Mr Copeland. I much prefer it when Sting does police songs with Josh Freese on the drums.
  3. I will post this for £15 UK mainland only, if you give me a couple of days to organise some cardboard etc from work. Or will have it boxed up if you want to sort out your own courier.
  4. That MM is simply stunning but well out of my price range. But the call of the short scale is strong after getting rid of a lovely Mustang in my recent cull. The FSR black Mustang from BAX is very tempting but I have sworn off buying any new basses....
  5. Having owned an EB0 I would imagine it would be quite a downgrade as the one I owned was terrible. But some people seem to love them.
  6. Bought yet another loom from John. This is becoming too much of a habit Usual quality work and fast delivery. Thanks! Gerry
  7. Buy this 4 string and Dub Junkie`s 5 string model and you have a matching pair for not a lot of cash! Yes I am trying to put ideas in your head!
  8. The blue one on sale at Thomman`s. £2859 and you get a gig bag??? Might be a nice bag but at that price I would be looking for a hardcase.
  9. I don`t think much of the wood matching on the front for a premium bass. Decent price though if you are looking for one.
  10. Ted bought my G&L from me. Nice easy deal and quick payment. Ta! Gerry
  11. Thats the usual scam. "Is the bass still available?" I always state on my advert that if the advert is live, the item is still available. You just need to be as careful as you can. I do my adverts the same way as Lozz, cash only, you collect.
  12. Just completed a deal for some Yamaha parts with Matti. We had some issues with the UK and Finish postal systems but it all worked out ok. Matti is a newish member on here but was a pleasure to deal with.
  13. If you don`t mind a slightly more full neck, this bass will kick the butt of any Fender Player P bass. For less than half the price! And DJ is a top man to deal with.
  14. A bit of a tricky one that. Usually for the insurance to be valid, it needs to be sent in a hard case. If it`s an expensive bass it`s worth getting even a second hand case if possible.
  15. As this is the last bass standing to be sold, the bass is now £220 collected which is a cracking price. The bridge and tuners alone would set you back £140 ish!
  16. Same here Dave. I jump about a bit but sitting in front of me is a new set of EXL 160`s to go on the new Sandberg. I have bought quite a few of these sets over the years and so far they have all been spot on.
  17. You gave them 2 chances and they bolloxed it up. Return the second bass and spend your hard earned elsewhere. And name and shame them!
  18. That Japanese one is about as Japanese as me!
  19. Got my new Sandberg earlier this week and very nice it is. The thing is I can`t stand the stock strings so if any of you guys who uses the stock strings wants them, drop me a pm and I will get them off to you gratis. And they say folk from Paisley have short arms and deep pockets! GONE!!
  20. Wow holy 2008 thread resurrection Batman!
  21. We have had a gig in the Hard Rock in Glasgow postponed twice now. It`s supposed to be next Feb now but I`m not taking anything for granted.
  22. I use a RCF 15" frfr speaker for gigs when back line isn`t provided and it has performed fine. Most of the gigs have amps provided but if in doubt I bring the RCF just in case. It`s an easy one hand lift. I can`t see me going back to a normal bass amp setup.
